About this listen
James McKinney has always dreamed of having a house of his own and a place he can call home. After finding the perfect house, and ready to work to make it his home, nothing can put a damper on his happiness—even when he discovers the house is filled with the previous owner’s belongings. He focuses on the fact the house is now his and doesn’t mind at all when his cute neighbor offers to help him sort through it.
Trey Andral is returning home from college when he notices someone moving into his old friend’s house next door. He worries that the new neighbor may not understand the fact that his old friend’s ghost still resides in the house, and when he sees her ghost through the window, he knows he has to help.
Trey has always been able to see and hear spirits, but what’s normal to him is terrifying to most others. When the spirits seem intent on contacting James, Trey has no choice but to share his secret, risking their newfound friendship. Maybe by working together, they can figure out what the clues the spirits are giving them mean. And maybe they can find happiness and family in each other.

I loved this sweet and exciting story!
James and Trey fit so wonderfully together and the meddling interference of the ghosts (which Tray can hear and see, but which actually are affecting James’ life more) make this a fun, exciting and interesting story!
I always love Curtis Michael's narration, and this was no exception.

Brilliant and fun
I don't need to be fancy and give a monologue of why this book was fantastic but instead sum it up in 2 words, LOVED IT!❤
But for reference, this book just hit all the right notes for me and sang. I love paranormal, and I loved Trey and James and their shenanigans. It was a fun read with excitement that I whiled away a few hours listening to the story unfold. The narration just gelled so well and brought it to life in my head. A must listen👂🎵

Really good!
4.5 Stars
Trey is back home and the first thing he notices is that someone new is moving into his late neighbor's home. Deciding he needs to help the guy move in, Trey introduces himself. James has finally found a place he can call home and call his own, after being alone for most of his life. The last thing he expects is for the place to be haunted. Trey can see dead people and decides to help James out, but have they bitten more than they chew?
Trey and James were very likable, sweet characters. I loved the progression of their relationship, even with their age difference, it felt very natural. The transition from strangers to friends to lovers was a smooth one and their interactions were delightful.
The ghost plotline was a bit confusing for me. At first, I wasn't sure what kind of spirit/spirits they were dealing with. I mean, they could've found a better way to communicate with James rather than scaring the hell out of him, right? LOL. Still, I enjoyed following Trey and James as they researched and discovered what the ghosts were really after.
Curtis Michael is a new-to-me narrator and I thought he did a great job with A Ghost of a Chance. He brought Trey and James to life for me and managed to ramp up the suspense when I still wasn't sure what the guys were dealing with. I swear I had chills when the unknown spirit in James's house spoke for the first time. LOL
Overall, the book was very entertaining. It was a lovely way to spend a few hours as I lost myself in James and Trey's story and their HEA. They were easy characters to root for and despite my initial confusion regarding one of the ghost's intentions, I have no trouble recommending this book/audiobook.

as good as the ebook
The story is always 4-5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. I can't listen to an audiobook without knowing the book, that's not possible for me.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, I’m over the half, but I listen enough to give a review.
