Summary

Sequel to The Lightning-Struck Heart

Once upon a time, the wizard’s apprentice, Sam of Wilds, got his happily ever after in the arms of his cornerstone, Knight Commander Ryan Foxheart. A year has passed, and while Sam’s been captured five or six more times since then, things are pretty great. His parents are happy, Gary and Tiggy still eat sass for breakfast, Randall is somehow alive despite being older than the gods, the King rules with a gentle hand, Kevin the dragon is as gross as ever, Morgan sighs a lot, Ryan continues to be dashing and immaculate, and Sam is close to convincing Prince Justin they will be best friends forever. Life is good.

Until it’s not.

Because Vadoma, the leader of the gypsy clan and Sam’s grandmother, has come to the City of Lockes with a dire prophecy written in the stars: a man of shadows is rising and will consume the world unless Sam faces his destiny and gathers the five dragons of Verania at his side.

And she brings along her second-in-command, a man named Ruv. Ruv, who Vadoma says is Sam’s true cornerstone.

Awesome follow up to The Lightning Struck Heart

Sams journey continues with his eclectic band of friends. This is his search for the desert dragon. The narration is wonderful and really brings this amazing story to life. There is laughter but also pathos and the ending leads straight into the next adventure.

A FANTASTIC BOOK

It's capitalized, so it's definitely true. The series, Tales from Verania, is the best I've ever -EVER- read and listened to. I highly and strongly recommend for a heart felt and extremely funny experience. The narrator is heaven sent with his talent of different voices and...just get it, then you'll understand what I'm trying to say.

Amazing narration, Entertaining storyline

Went for it as I had loved the part 1 of this series. This one was good funny, well paced and then got completely silly and frivolous at times and dragged on like that a bit. Still entertaining. I skipped forward some parts and am still listening on. Full stars on expressive narration, quite impressed with the different voices the narrator managed.

Another fabulous installment

The narration just gets better and better. All the voices from a single narrator is impressive, combine this with a great story and this audiobook is pure gold. It's part of a series do must be listened to in order. Enjoy!

I would say a page Turner but it's an audio book

The narrator truly fleshed out this story. The voices portrayed for the different characters are truly stupendous. The individual character's personalities shine through with the tone and pitch in each voice used. The story carries on with the humour and charm of the first book. It genuinely made me Laugh out loud on more than several occasions. Brilliant. Loved it. Cannot wait for the next one.
