Summary
When single mom Jessica Cook is at the end of her rope, she takes her 16-year-old daughter to Turn Around Ranch. The ranch has a great reputation for teen therapy, and Jessica prays there's room there for her and Chloe. Wade Dawson's first priority is to keep the ranch afloat to help teens and their families. Turn Around Ranch, book 1.
Contemporary romance with cowboys and a troubled teen boot camp.
Jessica brings her daughter to a troubled teen boot camp hoping they can help and willing to do anything for her daughter. Wade is responsible for running the ranch and doesn’t think there is room for Jessica and her daughter. But the ranch is really a family affair and they override his “no” with a cot in the dorm for Chloe and a job for Jess that she will have to learn quickly. As mother and daughter settle in to ranch life, Wade finds himself with Jessica more than expected and he’s liking it.
Warm hearted family and hard work values are the core of the ranch. It works it’s magic on the broken mother daughter relationship, the panic and anxiety, the lack of cooking skills and the really bad flirting ability. And the whole cowboy aspect doesn’t hurt either. The story includes multiple POVs and relationships, each with their own issues.
Determination, acceptance and finding your inner peace.
I alternated between an ebook and the audio. The narration was well done and different characters voices were distinguishable.
