Summary

Quand Jake Epping, professeur d'anglais, accepte la mission insolite que son ami Al, mourant, veut lui confier - empêcher l'assassinat de Kennedy le 22 novembre 1963 - il ne soupçonne pas à quoi il s'engage. Dans ce roman construit telle une uchronie menacée par l'effet papillon, Stephen King revisite l'Amérique des années 60, tout en soulignant les obsessions qui hantent, encore aujourd'hui, la culture populaire américaine. Un jeu vertigineux avec le temps.
L'interprétation de François Montagut restitue avec talent la juxtaposition des époques qui donne au roman de Stephen King sa puissance évocatrice mais aussi sa mise en question du présent.

Bonne histoire mais un peu longue!

Je pense que l'histoire aurait pu être un peu condensée. Mais c'est un excellent livre audio! Et pas trop de sang ce qui m'a beaucoup plu.

Un livre extraordinaire !

J'ai définitivement adoré ! Pour une fois, je lis un Stephen King sans scènes d'horreur morbides. Un grand bravo ! Je le recommande chaudement. Je dois également ajouter que le narrateur était super.

Could not get into this plot.

I'm in an obvious minority, but I hated the plot in this book. the entire premise and all the very long distractions were uninteresting and annoying in turns. I couldn't finish it.

Bought in wrong language

When i finally went to play it i found it was the wrong language, but it was to late to return it. Maybe ill see if theyll jusy let me swap it for English?
