Summary
“How long are you going to wait before you demand the best for yourself?” (Epictetus, famous Stoic)
If you want to rekindle your joy in life, find your meaning of success, or learn to overcome fears and anxiety, keep listening because this book is for you
Even if you’re stressed, unhappy, or highly anxious in everyday life and have tried fixing it before with books, videos, or even a therapist, don’t worry. You’re not alone and this guide can help you like it helped many others.
While most other philosophy books will only cover basics and not go into the underlying human mechanics that actually make you tick and feel what you feel right now, this book actually helps you to get under your own skin and systematically create the habits and tools to create lasting change from the inside-out. Will you be one of them?
Say "yes" and you’ll discover:
- The easy-to-follow yet uncommon steps to get rid of bad habits and replace them with new effective practices
- The Stoic and Tao principles that help rekindle your joy and curiosity in life, create self-discipline, and raise your self-awareness
- The stunning truth about high-performers, whether it’s billionaires or Olympic medalists, that you can apply to your own life to achieve your dreams
- How easy-to-follow exercises can help you banish discomfort, master your emotions, and find joy in the simplest things
- The single technique that will instantly create clarity, joy, and stop anxiety and procrastination.
Whether you’re just starting your journey or have seen it all already, the actionable Stoic and Tao techniques packed into short exercises can help anyone achieve what they set out to. After practicing the exercises for just a week, most listeners are stunned by their internal peace and growing self-appreciation.

Relatable, reflective and rejuvenating
Just started listening and I am gripped. I can't believe how Stoicism is so relevant to modern day issues of facing challenges, teaching mindfulness and understanding the importance of self awareness. Written by powerful men at a time of extreme governing, male dominance, violence, corruption and ruling and yet they share and teach words of compassion, journaling, self reflecting, empathy, meditation and kindness and I haven't even finished chapter 3. It's really an all inspiring piece and narrated beautifully.

Best explanation of Stoicism and Taoism I've heard
an excellent combination of ancient disciplines to live life by, and definitely the clearest explanation of the two I've heard. For anyone interested in learning how to live their best life, please add this audio to your reading list. Beautifully narrated also, and the wonderful bonus about leadership at the end; I shall be returning to it many times, I'm sure.

Insightful and uplifting
A great entry into stoic philosophy and taoism for those who know little or nothing about them and a great reminder for those who already have studied them. Narrator does a great job that keeps your attention and focus. Insightful and uplifting wisdom that is written and read very well 10/10

Easy to read. Great for beginner like me.
The author tries to structure the book in an easy-.to-read format. And he succeeded! Whether you admire minimalism, Taoism, or effective way of living, this is a great book to have an overview. Instead of watching YouTube, this book provides quick and comfortable explanation of all the quotes from stoic philosophers. Highly recommend.

Extended Definition
If a dictionary existed that gives extended longer definitions, just a bit longer than ordinary dictionaries, these two books would fit the criteria. If you want to learn about these two subject matters in detail then these are not your books . Furthermore I was completely caught of guard and annoyed when not once, but twice the author breaks into the narration completely pausing to literally beg and instruct the customer how to leave a book review for these titles . The last chapter is named
" Conclusion " When in fact there is zero conclusion, rather instead a small brief book about leader management in business, which has absolutely nothing to do with the two titles . Don't waste your money .

Church
This book is nothing new(It’s about two philosophies which are, in fact, quite old.), since I try to live my life with these philosophies in mind. Just a beautiful book about both Stoicism and Taoism written in a simple easy way to understand. I’m sure it’ll inspire many future followers to fail better! Much love. ✌️

Inspirational content, awful pronunciation.
The narrator clearly made no effort whatsoever to look up the correct pronunciation of foreign words or names. There were also a couple of content errors (mixing up Marcus Aurelius and Seneca at one point and a couple of editing errors where phrases were repeated.) There were also multiple pleas for reviews, one of which asked the listener to leave a review after only a couple of chapters. This detracted from the listening experience and makes many reviews suspect. Asking for reviews is reasonable and appropriate, but not before the reader has actually finished the book.
That said, the content was insightful and inspiring, and it was interesting to see these philosophies in contrast. This is a decent introduction to the topics and has actionable exercises. If bad pronunciation doesn't set your teeth on edge, it's worth a listen.
