Summary

As a 41-year-old mother of three boys, working two jobs, Marya Berger doesn’t have the time or energy to consider a relationship. Especially after a lifetime of poor choices in the romance department. But when the disappearance of a young boy strikes a little too close to home, and a younger man she’s tried to ignore offers his help, she doesn’t stand in the way.

Single father, Dylan Barnes, the junior member of the La Plata County FBI team at 33, has his focus firmly on his job and his son, Max. He’s certainly not looking to complicate his life, when he finds himself at his son’s soccer game, sitting beside the spirited brunette he can’t get out of his mind. Fate, however, appears to have different plans.

When an unspeakable crime draws the attention of the FBI, Dylan finds himself torn between his job and his instinctive need to protect Marya and her boys.

5 stars for all the 4 books in this series

What a delightful series - loved the maturity of the protagonists and mixture of law enforcement, community of friends and different love stories.
Narration by the different voice actors was excellent and really added to the story telling.
I listened to each story in order. So it was so nice to hear how the characters interconnected.
A definite recommendation.

A good read

An edgy romance crime thriller all rolled into one. This is the best of the series.

Excellent Ending to the series

4.50 Stars for me!

This was a good and solid ending to the series. Single dad and single mom plus a middle child with a huge chip on his shoulder. Add in some bad people and a new couple trying to make time for each other and you have a recipe for a good story and Freya delivered.

One of the things that I enjoyed about this series was that the MCs were not only older but acted their age. I am not sure why so many authors think that every man wants to kill any other man that looks in the direction of their woman or that every time they have sex, it is always the best ever. Us guys are human, have self control (after we turn 21) and sadly need time to recharge.

The BEST in the Series

Just when I though book 3 was the best book 4 took the cake! Oh how I loved this story. Two single parents finding true love, blending families and so much more. I cried at the end Christmas scene. What a wonderful story. Very powerful for parents and the predators out there. Educate your kids. Monitor online and gaming activities. Have a PLAN they know and understand. Thank you for this wonderful book! Narration was on Point. Tad Branson narrates with such emotion! Just love him!

What an amazing series!!!

I normally do not like to write reviews. But I truly enjoyed this series. If I wasn’t laughing out loud, I was crying, I was angry, I was fearful, so many emotions. But in the end it’s exactly how I wanted it to be...perfect! Thank you to the author and the narrators. This series is a keeper!!!!

Deep

The storyline is deep and scary. Unfortunately it’s real in our world and parents need to be extra vigilant.

10-Code Dylan and Marya

An enthralling, suspenseful and seductively endearing journey to go on with Dylan and Marya. I loved how Dylan stepped right in taking care of Marya and her kids. He knew what he wanted and went for it. Their chemistry is palpable, their banter is sweet and their connection is beautiful. I enjoyed this story.

Loved the story, the characters and development!

Didn't like the man narrator. A little bit boring and dull. The woman excellent.

Addresses several social issues

There are a few twists. It also addresses several social issues with a strong heroine and hero that are older
It addresses a older woman dating a younger man with children and him with a child along with both of their spouses just walking out on them leaving them with the hard task of explaining to children why their mother or father chose to leave.

It addresses the problems regarding the safety of children from child molesting and murder and cover ups.

It’s disturbing but brings to light that even with coaches and teachers one should never totally trust their children unfortunately. Also going to restrooms can be dangerous for children no matter where.

It also doesn’t assume the heroine has to be perfect with a model type body and 20, She is 43 with the effects of having 3 children and he is 8 years younger.

Worth a listen even though some of the issues makes one cringe.

Male narrator has a bit of a nasal tone but I got use to it. Preferred his alternate voices
