戦後漫才研究会を設立し東京漫才の祖と評されるリーガル千太・万吉の元に弟子入り。クリトモ一休・三休で漫才コンクール優勝、これからと言うときに三河島事故で相方を失いました。その後妻である照代とコンビを組み、春日三球・照代として一世を風靡、地下鉄を始めとして乗り物を扱ったネタは老若男女を問わず、当時の日本全国を席捲しました。その時代の漫才界について、また亡き妻、照代への思い出を語ります。聞き手は元ニッポン放送演芸プロデューサー塙宏。
