Христова ночь (Предание) — сказка русского писателя Михаила Салтыкова-Щедрина впервые появилась в печати в 1886 году в №245 "Русских ведомостей". Вместе с "Христовой ночью" в этом номере была впервые напечатана и сказка "Путём-дорогою".
Эта сказка посвящена проблемам нравственности (или морали). Для большей доходчивости (до сознания широкого круга читателей) Салтыков-Щедрин использует евангельскую притчу о предательстве Иуды и воскресении Христа (а также сюжет легенды об Агасфере, «Вечном Жиде») в форме христианской проповеди.
