Когда-то давным-давно в одном персидском городе жили два брата Касим и Али-Баба. Али-Баба с самого утра и до позднего вечера рубил дрова, чтобы потом продать их на рынке и купить себе немного еды. В один из дней Али-Баба стоял под высоким деревом и уже собирался его срубить, как вдруг увидел, что сорок разбойников, нагруженные тяжелыми мешками, подошли к скале, в которой была маленькая дверь. Атаман крикнул "Симсим, открой дверь!" и дверь в скале распахнулась. После того, как разбойники вышли из пещеры, сели на коней и ускакали, Али-Баба набрался смелости, воспользовался заклинанием и проник в пещеру, оказавшуюся битком набитой сокровищами.
