Tammy Knight is a radio personality/singer/songwriter/music and business consultant from Roanoke Rapids, NC residing in Charlotte. She grew up in Huckleberry Bottom which is a rural section of the city where she was raised as an herbalist as her ancestors were mixed with African American and Native American backgrounds from Cherokee and Sioux tribes. She grew up surrounded by a wooded area with farms, gardens, pigs and chickens. She moved to DC and attended Howard University in the 90s and has spent the majority of her life living in large cities such as DC, Atlanta, LA, Phoenix, and currently Charlotte, NC. She birthed two of her children naturally with no medications via mid-wife assistance in Phoenix, AZ while working in corporate America and also working in the background of the music industry. She birthed her third child naturally in North Carolina. She has recently established Huckleberry Bottom Music which is her music publishing company. She records under the independent label of Goldenrule Global Records headed by CEO Holly V. and Bank Bull Publishing. Tammy is reinventing herself as a local hometown radio personality of “The Huckleberrry Bottom Experience” and “Tit 4 Tit with/Tam” on the Goldenhour radio show at WCBT radio, 102.7FM/1230AM Soul, Saturdays from 12pm to 1pm in Roanoke Rapids. The show combines her knowledge of music, business, and herbal living to help bring awareness to the community which she grew up, Huckleberry Bottom. She has started a community magazine The Huckleberry Bottom Review which will be released soon. Her famous nephew, the 1st to grace Billboard as a choreographer, JaQuel Knight has also been raised on herbs and educates celebrity clients on the uses and benefits of herbs to the body. He is most known for his choreography of “Single Ladies, Put a Ring On It” performed by Beyonce. Tammy is a partner along with her sisters in Huckleberry Bottom LLC where the company has setup shop to distribute capsuled herbs, teas, and tinctures as well as provide skin rejuvenating techniques and beauty spa services.
