Sarah Moore has always had a passion for combining creativity and business. During her childhood she began her first buying-and-selling enterprise in the playground world of trading cards. Using her father’s family run store as a wholesale supplier, she kept her ear to the ground to make sure everyone got the cards they were after and she got the money she was after in return. This was also when she also began dabbling with the sale of her homemade jewelry at craft fairs, to friends and among last-minute gift givers.
After graduating with a BA in fashion and business Sarah worked her way up to becoming a senior buyer at Barney’s department store, picking the best quality fashion for the some of the most discerning shoppers in the world. It was after having her third child that Sarah saw her career would not have its in end the chambers of a corporate skyscraper, but that she would take her destiny into her own hands. Sarah had continued her flair for crafts and was selling her handmade jewelry on eBay when she noticed something. Her jewelry wasn’t just selling, it was selling well and she was making a profit from her hobby.
Dipping her feet in the water Sarah used the skills she learned in the world of fashion buying to sell a collection of handbags she had sourced from one of her contacts in Italy. When she was boxing the last of these bags up after just one week of listing them she realized she could slow down her life while spending more time at home with her kids, and allow her career to grow. She did more tests and research on the online market, learning how to make her products spring out from a search engine and how to read online trends before they happened. Since 2010 Sarah has run a successful online fashion business just using Etsy, Amazon, and eBay and now makes double working at home what she did in the offline retail world.
