A J King (pen name of Amanda Jayne Nicholson) - Mandy to her friends and readers, was born and raised in Manchester but dragged kicking and screaming to Wooler in Northumberland aged 16. Completing her A-Levels in Berwick, then heading off to Uni in Edinburgh to study Art, she ended up having a colourful and varied career in retail before returning to the creative arts. She is now a coach to creative women, an artist and an author who tells stories based on real-life events. Her astonishing and transformational life experience is the driving force for her creative work.
