About this listen

Her life is like a prison cell. A self-made, to-hell-with-the-free-world existence that locks from the inside. Stop judging. Her agoraphobia doesn’t define her. It simply keeps her safe.

He belongs in a prison cell. The 6x8, make-me-your-b*tch variety that locks from the outside. But he’s free. To hunt. To take. To break. And he just found a new toy.

Capturing her is the easy part. Her f--ked-up mind, however, makes him question everything he does next.

But he’s a determined bastard. If all goes his way, this will hurt like hell.

Note: HEA with no cliffhanger.

Brilliant!

Another fantastic audio adaptation of one of my favourite books. Vanquish isn't an easy book, but it is a gripping, intense and fulfilling one. Both Van and Amber have pretty serious personal issues and the collision of the two is explosive and utterly engrossing. This audio captures both characters perfectly. Jo Raylan and Ryan West are able to convey the intensity of this story with skill and I know I will come back to it again. 💖💖💖💖💖

5 tortured & redeemed stars ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

Wow Van Quiso👌🎆 🔥 when he said "when i met her I wanted to pick apart her mind & play with the pieces, i wanted to become her obsession , her solitary devotion, her fear. but along the way she picked me apart ,i am the one who is obsessed , devoted & scared." i felt that. Van is very much an alphahole that you love to hate but
In every Villain there is a Hero hidden deep inside. i loved Amber & Van together. although this book can be read as a standalone.. i recommend reading book 1 (Deliver) to enhance your enjoyment and appreciate Van's back story & character development as well as marvel at the way Pam Godwin crafted his personality and journey into redemption without making him weak and a cliche. Amber was ace & i loved her. I was rooting for these tortured souls & the 4 years later epilogue was just 💋 ♥️. trigger warnings there are sensitive topics in this book but this book is not as dark as book1. 5 ✨️narrators did a great job in bringing these characters to life.

vanquish is an apt title

as in the last book, pam Godwin brings the shock factor! I didn't like Van in the first book given he's a rapist. I thought we would get some redeeming qualities in this book and I was almost at the point of starting to understand him given his past, then chapter 14 hit. if you can get through that, then this book is as excellently written as the first, however, realistically this is not a situation love and romance could ever blossom out of. Van is not morally grey, he's as dark as they come. please don't read if you are effected by TW's but remember it's fiction and a dark romance.
Amber did indeed seen to vanquish all of Van demons and predatory behaviour through her understanding of him and his back ground and how sex was forced , taken and more often than not involved pain. Van redeeming qualities did come later in the book, with no example of what love looked like, he came to realise his behaviour with Liv was not love, now he truly found the meaning of it with Amber and was remorseful of his actions. I have a feeling we might see a few more of those redeeming qualities in the next book.
