About this listen

This audiobook is for you if you have ever wondered about BDSM practices and sexual servitude. The Slave Factory was ranked in the Amazon Hot 100 List of New Releases for erotica - See why!

This is how The Slave Factory begins. It is the story of Tonya's journey of self-discovery as she and an eclectic group of fellow students undergo six-months of focused and brutal reshaping, guided by the masters and mistresses of the arts of sex, bondage, discipline, and submission and the love to serve within the walls of a place known only as The Academy.

Each student spent years under the watchful eye of the secret company that traced its origins to ancient history and beyond. Only the best were selected from the final review of candidates, only the best of those were selected to be trained and sold as slaves to the wealthy and the powerful. The Slave Factory trains the students in all aspects of BDSM, sex, and social acceptability.

A weak version of the marketplace series.

What disappointed you about The Slave Factory?

The premise is a good one, but the writer tried to do to much with too many characters in too short a novel. Because of this it lacked depth of experience for the characters as they went through their training and sales. Sadly it happens often and you end up with shallow plots, or shallow characters, or both. And this one hits both sadly.

Has The Slave Factory put you off other books in this genre?

Audible should DUMP this question. A bad book does not equal a bad genre and only a fool would be put off from a whole genre by one poor book. Heck, even a good writer can write a bad book while writing many good ones.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Slave Factory?

I would have cut the majority of the characters from having major story lines, and instead worked with one or two of them and told the other characters tales when they interacted with the chosen main characters. Note the marketplace series first book wasn't the best for me because of too many characters, most of them poor ones and only improved when the main focus was on only a bare few, and those books are far longer and allow for more depth.

This book skipped right over the experience of pain play introduction and honestly over just about every aspect of what It means to be a slave and submission. So cut most of it to allow more depth. Hope author learnt it for the other books in series, but I doubt it.

Dire!

What disappointed you about The Slave Factory?

Awful story telling with sex that should have been thrilling reduced to adolescent day-dreams. Where was the taboo, immoral imperatives and expansion of experiences?
