Summary

Let not your heart be troubled...

Cyril woke up in a hospital bed with a ruined body and no memory of how it happened. His only chance at a normal life was agreeing to a splicer's experiment with a twisted condition: he was forbidden to learn the circumstances surrounding his injuries.

Rose saved a life and wound up exiled from her gang, friendless and broke in Oolytau. Given an out by a notorious mob boss, she found herself in the Tracts working with a man who might be everything she never knew she needed.

Yet, the past has a way of shaping the future, and both would have to confront it in the wilderness with few friends and little hope of rescue. Rose would face the fight of her life, while Cyril must come to terms with the fact that non-humans are - first and last - monsters.

awesome

Fantastic twist on the genre. Not all love is mutual or end happy. But fighting against it can lead you smack into the arms of your soul mate. A twisted story with strong emotions that's awesome to behold.

I dont like the ending (spoilers)

the ending ruined it for me silence a victim cover it all up and frame it as a good thing I have enjoyed the series but this has soured it for me
