What terrible let down!

I am a massive proponent of Princes music and legacy and I was very much looking forward to a granular book about Princes music and the stories behind some of his most memorable work. There are so many things wrong with this book. The narration is awful, how audible can allow this to go out at this speed is beyond me. Even on audible slowest speed. It was still too fast.

The author made a massive mistake by referring to the father of Prince and the wrong middle initial, which I know sounds a bit like splitting hairs. This is supposed to be a book of reference and the author can't even get the name of Princes father correct!??

The information that lies within the book on the whole is quite interesting but is red so poorly and so fast you can hardly take the time to absorb what's being read. I have read many books on Prince and this is by far the worst. Not necessarily because of content, but the narration is the worst overheard on a book and if you going to write a book about subject and you can't get the name of the father of the person that you're right, correct it does make you question the accuracy of other proponents that are within the book.

There are many more well read and well researched books available on the subject. If you are new to Princes work. Avoid this book, like the plague.

Avoid - Can I Get A Refund?!?

Jake, why didn't you hire a REAL narrator - were you in a hurry to record this? I thought I had it on 2x speed. As for the writing itself...the less said the better.

Complete car crash!!

The author is talking way too fast, so much so that you can’t understand what he is saying unless you slow the speed down to around 7, which is most frustrating! Also the most basic of facts are incorrect so you can’t really rely on anything he is writing about! Prince’s fathers name is apparently ‘John T. Nelson’, when in fact it is ‘John L. Nelson’ and prince has not written a song called ‘Crazy Relationship’ I think the author meant ‘Strange Relationship’ but still these are ridiculous mistakes to make and means that you cannot entertain anything else as facts unless you know!
