Summary
Platonism is the doctrine which says that the spatiotemporal must be understood in terms of the non-spatiotemporal. In this short work, it is rigorously demonstrated that:
- Platonism is correct
- All non-spatiotemporal entities are identical with properties, that is, with characteristics
- Propositions (truths and falsehood) are classes of properties
- Laws of nature, being invariant relations holding among classes of states of affairs, are properties of ordered n-tuples of such classes
- Works of music are properties (of series of sounds) and are therefore non-spatiotemporal, it being their instances (specific performances thereof) that are spatiotemporal
