Unlikely Romances

Doctor Kimberly Cortwell is not having fun. The virus has caused nothing but overpowering work for everyone, and it doesn’t seem like there’s an end in sight. She’s not particularly surprised to have a new case at the hospital but this case is special. Seth Ash is not reacting to the illness like other people do. Something is happening in his body, and whatever it is just might be the key to making real headway against the pandemic. It would be a truly exciting and wonderful thing if the man wasn’t so irritating, smug, self-righteous, and handsome. 

Jesse has a best friend named Jocelyn and Jocelyn is about the most beautiful woman a person could imagine. Jesse doesn’t mind, though. She’s okay with being the plain girl with the hot friend. She’s okay with a life of second place, and she’s happy to be free of all the drama that Jocelyn has to deal with all the time. When Sebastian shows up, though, he makes it pretty clear there isn’t anything about Jesse that he thinks is plain. 

Bella doesn’t expect to fall for the arrogant guy who comes into her bookstore, but he’s with his friends, and she gets caught up in the moment and agrees on a date. She never expected to fall so hard for him, and she soon discovers there’s a great deal beneath his cocky exterior. She’s bookish, more comfortable with a classic piece of literature than with people.

Tamara doesn’t expect to see anyone in the middle of her hiking trip. She certainly doesn’t expect to see anyone and get caught in a storm. She doesn’t expect the guy to be so sure of himself, either, and she doesn’t expect to be in a situation where someone else knows more about hiking and the woods than she does. She certainly doesn’t expect to find herself relying on the arrogant jerk for survival. One thing Tamara absolutely doesn’t expect...falling for Jonah really, really hard.
