The Flintlock Sagas

William Hackett, a youth with a troubled past, is in for the adventure of his life. Along with his family, friends, and neighbors, he is a part of a group of pioneers trying to start a new life in the wilderness of Kentucky in the 1770s. Aside from dealing with his deep emotional wounds, Will and his friends are confronted with a life of constant trial, hardship, and peril as they seek to survive the dangers of the Kentucky wilds, as well as the threat of savage enemy warriors.  

The Kentucky wilderness in the 1770s was filled with terrors and dangers, and no one knew this better than 16-year-old Remember Warren. Her village burned and her family and friends violently murdered by savages, the girl found herself a slave of a renegade trapper and his Shawnee squaw. Though she doesn’t believe it, God has not forsaken her. Will she look beyond the hardship and listen to God’s higher purpose for all her suffering? The story reaches its climax as Ember is forced to make a desperate run for her life that will put her new faith to the extreme test.

While great battles for independence were being fought in the East, the Western frontier was in the middle of its own dangerous conflicts. One of these encounters began innocently as three friends searched the forest for medicinal herbs. On their way home, they discovered a party of ghostlike figures doing a strange dance among the trees. When word got back to Larkinboro, scouts were sent out to identify what threats these white warriors might pose to the safety of the settlers. But the more that is discovered, the more ominous the danger becomes.
