The crew of the Walker Pierce must contend with a new alien threat far more powerful than any that has come before. Meanwhile, Captain Carter must contend with the increasingly erratic decisions coming from command. It all comes to a head in a desperate mission behind enemy lines. 

The time for peace is past. As the Kaxek forces begin their quest for Earth, new battle lines are drawn. Carter must navigate the tricky path between honoring his duty and protecting his crew. For the small band of opposition fighters, their last chance to alter events might already be gone.
