After successfully repelling an attack by the group led by the "man in the red shirt", Dianne, Jacob, Josie, and Sarah have found themselves in the clutches of the attackers while Mark, Tina, and Jason barely managed to slip away. Now they must find a way to save their friends and family from a madman before it's too late. Meanwhile, in Washington, a battle between Rick's group and the MS-13 gang members turned brutally violent when they were saved by the Russian force sent in to secure a way to stop Damocles. 

Trapped in a medical facility in Blacksburg while desperately searching for supplies for Jason, Dianne must find a way to get out before the men who have been following her manage to find and stop her. Meanwhile, in Washington, Rick and his companions slowly work their way through the city, all facing the threat of new foes and the arrival of strange allies.  

At the Waters' homestead, war has arrived as the skirmishes that have played out come to a head and an exhausted Dianne must lead the charge to protect her family and friends. Meanwhile, trapped in Washington with a hostile group closing in, Rick, Jane, and Dr. Evans will face a war on multiple fronts as they struggle to stop Damocles while under siege.  

Stranded across the country away from his family, Rick must travel from California to Virginia to reunite with his wife and children, all while struggling to comprehend and deal with the horrors along the way. At home with her three children when she experiences the beginning of the end in a dramatic and deadly fashion, Dianne Waters has experience as a prepper and survivalist, but not even years of training and preparation have readied her for the darkness that comes with the end of the world.

Rick, Jane, and Dr. Evans have escaped from the Cheyenne Mountain Complex just before it is sealed. With Dr. Evans having found a clue that could lead to the termination of Damocles, they must decide whether to risk it all in an attempt to stop what is happening. Meanwhile, Dianne and Jason have rescued Tina from the clutches of the gang, but Jason has paid a terrible price. His survival will hinge on the group working together - or else. 

With a tenuous plan in place to try and take down Damocles, Rick, Jane, and Dr. Evans continue on their journey to Washington as they face greater dangers than they expected. Dianne, meanwhile, must deal with Jason's injury, as well as the gang that is searching for her and everyone else at the farm. 

Rick has been taken by the military a second time, but after being reunited with a friend, he discovers new information about Damocles that leads to a profound turning point in the fight against the weapon. Meanwhile, after Dianne and her children become reunited with some old friends, they must deal with a threat to their personal lives that may overwhelm their defenses.   

Rick Waters has barely escaped a week inside a cell at the Nellis Air Force Base with his life intact. Back on the road he faces a daunting journey filled with dangers that have yet to be realized. 

In Virginia, Dianne Waters and her children have prepared their home, gathered their supplies and are about to face an incoming storm the likes of which they have never seen. Even if they prevail, the cost may be far greater than any of them realized. 

New enemies are on the horizon in Virginia as an unexpected visitor appears to Dianne and the children. Rick, meanwhile, faces a beautiful but dangerous journey through the Rocky Mountains. As Damocles continues to wreak havoc across the globe, the stage is being set for the end of civilization as we know it.
