  • Ep. 115 Stop Trying To Rush Your Life: Why It’s Not Better To Achieve Everything Younger With Saie Founder Laney Crowell
    Nov 18 2024

Laney Crowell is a founder I’ve wanted to speak to for such a long time, so I knew I had to pin her down on my trip to New York.

She founded beauty brand Saie in 2019 after a five year stint at Estee Lauder that made her want to disrupt the industry, and to Saie (pardon the pun) it’s gone from strength to strength is an understatement. Laney’s career though was not an obvious entrepreneurial path - she started out on film sets, entered into the world of new york magazines, and even interviewed to be Anna Wintour’s assistant 7 times before landing what her dream role, leading social & eventually global communications for Estee Lauder. It was a big job, but she wanted even bigger, more disruptive things, which ultimately led her to Saie.

I really believe that confidence might just be the key to happiness, whether it’s in your career, your personal relationships, or even just how you talk to yourself. And understanding the root cause has shown me that confidence is something you can learn, it’s like any skill. And if there’s one thing I love - it’s learning skills. So i’m excited to break it down.
