The Living Wird: A Reality by: Gail Nobles

As we gather in the warmth of fellowship, let us turn our hearts and minds to the extraordinary miracle taking place every time we open the pages of the Bible. This is not merely an ancient collection of texts. What we hold in our hands is the living Word of God—a divine narrative that continues to unfold in our lives and in the world around us.

The Apostle Paul reminds us in 2 Timothy 3:16 that "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness ." Each time we read these sacred scriptures, we are not bound by the dust of history; instead, we are invited into a lively conversation with the Creator of the world. When we open the Bible, God speaks afresh to us, guiding, challenging, and comforting us right where we are.

Let us consider the story of the Prodigal Son, a parable told in Luke 15. Though centuries old, its truth remains relevant today. Every day, countless individuals experience the struggle of wandering away from their true identity, lost in the noise and chaos of life. Yet, the moment they turn to the Father—as the Prodigal did—they find not condemnation, but compassion and grace. This narrative is not just a story; it’s a reality being lived out in our communities, in our families, and even within ourselves.

We read in Philippians 4:19 "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." This is not a past promise, but a present reality. Friends, we see this promise manifested every day as we witness God providing for those in need, restoring hope where despair has taken root, and bringing peace in the middle of chaos. The Bible is alive because the God it reveals is alive and working among us.

Let us also reflect on the words of Isaiah 40:8: "The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever." In a world that often changes like the shifting sands, the truths of scripture remain firm. They are for today, tomorrow, and every day thereafter. When we declare that the Bible is "happening," we affirm that it is relevant, transformative, and powerful in our daily lives.

So, as you engage with Scripture, remember that it is not of the past, but an active and living force. It challenges us to action, calls us into deeper faith, and reminds us that we are part of a grander story—God's story, which is still being written.

Let us pray, then, that our eyes may be opened to see the Word actively at work in our lives, that we may hear it connecting in our hearts, and that we might share this living truth with a world that desperately needs it.

I’m Gail Nobles. Thank you for listening to Bible Happenings.

This is an endtime news report. Today's topic: The Red Heifer and Jerusalem. There are things happening from the Bible, and people try to do things the Bible way. But that does not mean they are always done right. We try to understand the Bible and do the best that we can.

Television news has mentioned that there will be a sacrifice of a red cow. I've been hearing something about a third temple in Jerusalem. There are Christians that are worried about this news.

Some Christians feel that there is no need to sacrifice a red cow. Some don't believe in any of it because they know it's all about Jesus. He died for our sins. He is the savior.

The red heifer known as the red cow is a heifer sacrificed by the priest as a sacrifice to God in the Bible. It's ashes after being sacrificed and burned were used for the ritual purification as a prelude to building their temple. You can find out about the heifer in the Old Testament of the Bible like the Book of Numbers.

But in the new, we read about Jesus. In Hebrews 9 let's start with verse 11.

    11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

This means there is a greater sacrifice which is Christ. I'm Gail Nobles. Thank you for listening.

  • The Ark of the Covenant 7:25:24 12.19 AM
    Jul 25 2024
The Ark of the Covenant also known as the Ark of the Testament where the Ark of God is described as a wooden chest coated in pure gold and topped off by the elaborate golden lid known as the mercy seat. The art contained the tablets of the law by which God delivered the 10 Commandments to Moses at Mount Sinai. According to the book of Exodus and Numbers it also contained Aaron's rod and a part of manna.

The ark of the covenant is often understood to represent God's presence. Number 10:33 through 36 describes how the Israelites journeyed with the ark leading them suggesting that the ark accompanied them as a manifestation of God presence.
In 1 Samuel 4:4 the ark is described as being brought into battle with the understanding that it would provide the Israelites with God's presence and support in their struggle against the Philistines.

Jerimiah 3:16 And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more.

That means the ark of the covenant won't be necessary.

Rev. 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

So within the temple was seen the ark of the testament. I’m going to leave it at that.
Can you feel the presence of the Lord in your life today? Regardless of the art, we have God's presence with us. I'm Gail Nobles. Thank you for listening to Bible Happenings.
