Summary

You can’t describe the happiness you felt the moment you got the positive results of your pregnancy test. But only a couple of hours later, you catch yourself worrying about everything that could go wrong.

  • Did I accidentally harm the baby before I knew I was pregnant?
  • Are the antibiotics I took going to hurt my baby?
  • Can exercise or stress at work cause preterm labor?
  • Am I going to be a good mom?
  • And the worst one “what if my child has a birth defect”

Put the constant worrying to an end, and let’s set things straight.

This is only a select sample of what you’ll discover in Your First Parenting Journey: How to Have a Worry-Free Pregnancy, How Baby Sleep Training Works and How to Succeed in Your Baby’s First Year:

  • What doctors say about your pregnancy worries and why they are not as scary as you think
  • The most common anxiety that is even worse than stress and how to deal with it the right way
  • The surprising truth about sex during and after pregnancy
  • Effective tricks to take some pain off your partner during delivery
  • Fully mapped-out sleep schedules for your baby, ranging from 0 weeks to three years
  • The top 10 reasons why sleep training fails, and what adjustments you can make to ensure all things run smoothly next time
  • The life-saving secrets to training your baby to sleep so you, too, can get a restful slumber
  • Why your bedtime approach isn’t the only thing influencing your baby’s quality of sleep (Hint: It involves more than just one factor)
  • The not-so-common method you can use to your advantage that will encourage your baby to sleep longer and more soundly
  • Common misconceptions people have about a baby’s first year, and what you can expect to happen (Hint: It’s not as scary as many paints it to be!)
  • How to make sure your baby’s safety is always taken care of, allowing you to stay one step ahead of any potential medical emergencies
  • And much, much, more

Yes, everyone around you thinks they know it all, yet each person is different and so is every pregnancy. That’s why you know best what’s good for your baby.

Author Harley Carr knows one size does not fit all, that’s why she hands you a goodie bag with a collection of advice and the newest science-backed facts about pregnancy, effective baby sleep training, and what to do in your baby’s first year. Of course, you are the one deciding what to take and what to leave.

I purchased this audiobook!

I purchased this audiobook at a time where I was functioning on zero sleep but also refused to let my baby cry. I was very skeptical. I never heard any success stories of people I knew personally who were able to get a good night to sleep without the cry it out method.

The book is certainly useful!

The book is certainly useful: it also describes well the biological process quarter after quarter, its risks, the signals to consider, how to pay attention to the food. It encourages you to be patient, and fight with the right tools just in case.

Excellent!

Excellent addition to my collection. I have never liked the idea of being pregnant, but inside me, the maternal instinct, however as far as you try to obscure, emerges outside. This purchase was perhaps an unconscious way to prepare me.
