ENJOYABLE YES..... BUT MORE OF A POP THAN A BANG

I usually love these types of paranormal/romance books and also anything JA writes is an automatic download for me. But I'm so sorry to say that there was just something about this listen that missed it's mark with me.

I don't know whether there's just too many sub plots going on at the same time as the main romance - yes there's a thread running between most of the plots but it just seemed a bit disjointed and didn't flow quite right. It had some great characters in it and it was action packed however, it seemed such a fractured story that it failed to make me care enough about any of it. Yes, there was a sweet romance going on between the two main characters - a cop and a were-cat, but even their sex scenes seemed more 'motion' than 'emotion' and, as a result, it failed to grab me.

Worth a credit. Well, if you've been happy with this series then I guess it's a must but this particular listen sadly just didn't really do it for me. However, I will download the next one in the hope of a more focused storyline.

Better narration could really improve series

I don’t hate this series. It does have some interesting characters and storylines. This narrator does not do the series justice. She does much of the dialogue rather monotone. Dual narration could have made the series so much better. This is not as intense or as sensual of a series like The Phoenix Pack orThe Immortals of New Orleans. Therefore, it may suit some listeners better than the two previously mentioned series. I’ll probably continue with this series but I must admit that I’m not super excited to do so.

Ummm... Ok... I get it now!!

Man did this book throw me for a loop! I was sooo pissed off. I was like what the heck happen to Liam, Sean and all the Morrisseys!!!! I was like this is not even the same shifter town...

Cassie and Diego story is pretty good... I like Diego hispanic background.... and his family. I actually can't wait until Cassie's brother story comes out... So , Yea I like this book... but I was expecting another story about the Morriessy Clan and it really messed me up until I realized they it was a diffrent shifter town. It all make sense in the end though.

Good credit. Don't buy. Just wait till your free credit.

Narration was good. Dukehart did a smashing job with Diego's family accents.

Great Story bad accents

Would you try another book from Jennifer Ashley and/or Cris Dukehart?

Yes I would read more the shifter series but the narrator is not good at the accents or making you believe in the different characters. It is hard to feel the different emotions.

How could the performance have been better?

The narrator needs to practice her voices and maybe research more when she tries to replicate an accent.

Convoluted Mess

Too many sub plots going on. Cassidy's tale was blah. As a alpha female she was weak. In the end the only fight she won was against a weak sun starved female shifter. She was either getting saved by her brother, her human lover (Diego) & his brother ,a tracker & finally by the man who tried to kill her. It was kinda pathetic.

Great story

Great story but she butchered the spanish words, they were painful to hear, it’s not so hard to do a little research on how to pronounce those words if you are not fluent in spanish or any other language. Sad

Fantastic

There is so much character develop and storyline development in this book!!! Fantastic read!!! I definitely recommend reading the books in order although it’s not necessary because the author does a great job of providing the pertinent info in each book.
