Summary

Her twin sister is missing.

When Ariana Costas heard her twin sister, Zoe, had disappeared, Ari left Vermont and returned to her Jersey girl roots to find her. Ari didn’t know what to expect from her search, but danger around every corner, dodging bullets, and a hunk in a leather jacket saving her was not it.

He thought she was someone else.

Detective Quinn Donovan thought he located Zoe Costas. Beautiful, dark haired and a perfect match to the description he’d been given, he believes he has his lady. Except as it turns out, the gorgeous woman is Zoe’s twin Ariana, the college professor. Suddenly, Quinn’s job is more about trying to protect Ari who is in trouble deeper than the Atlantic at high tide. There’s more at stake than trying to protect her without spilling his well-guarded secrets.

Will he lose his heart and the girl in the process?

Not up to Carly Phillips usual standards

Story line was ok. Not what I expected from Carly Phillips after Dare Nation. This is the first book I really didn’t care for written by Ms Phillips. Narration was good except for the Costas family. Sorry to say Accents were more Russian gypsies than Greek.( and the Costas act more like Gypsies ) Their voices were difficult to listen to. The only Greek word really used was grandmother “YIAYIA” was pronounce wrong. But I managed to finish the book. Sadly Not sure if I even want to read the next book in this series. Again first time I have felt this way after more than 12 of her books

Quin and Ariana

An entertaining, suspenseful and thrilling journey to go on with Quinn & Ariana and the crazy bunch of other characters, including a monkey. It took sometime to get into this story but once I did, I was on the edge of my seat.
Narration could have been better.

Cute, funny, romantic

Overall it was a very good story, the crazy family and funny monkey added to the story. I thought the mystery/intrigue was lacking a little & procedural wise was off somewhat. The narrator did good except for the fathers voice & I thought it was terrible. It’s definitely worth a listen.

Good story

I enjoyed this book but there was too much “thinking” over and over. If you understand the characters situation they shouldn’t have to have all the extra thinking.

Disappointing

As much as I love most of the books by Carly Phillips, I couldn’t even finish this one. Very slow start and never caught my interest….
