Fabulous Narration
Whilst this may not be one of the best Dorsey books George Wilson's narration makes this a great listen.
In this novel he seems to totally get into the characters and let loose. In several sections his exuberant delivery really made me grin. Listen and enjoy I say!

A storming good book
Where does Torpedo Juice rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Just love this series - can not get enough of Serge's madness.I have read and now picking up on Audio.
The Narrator brings life to the characters in such a brilliant way I often find myself laughing out loud and giggling insanely while listening.

Comedy Masterpiece
The most hilarious book I have ever read.
The comedy is silent ,it catches you by surprise
so that you have to go back to read it again.
Serge is hilarious and his sidekick.
If you don't have a sense of humor you may miss a lot.
George wilson is the very best narrator out there.
Bar None especially in torpedo Juice.
I will read this again and again which is not
my usual.

I'll stick to Hiassen
My problem from the get go is that the book sounded like a Hiassen novel because I have George Wilson's voice stuck in my head as the voice of Hiassen. This did not help me at all because it made it hard for me to get past constantly comparing the two. All I heard was what sounded like a bad Hiassen novel. The similarities in style, satire, setting liberally sprinkled with screw-loose characters made it even harder to get away from constantly comparing the two authors.

Great story, choppy download
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The chapter headings run into the word before them and make it feel like parts are missing, but the story is so bizarre that without the book to compare to it's impossible to tell.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I always enjoy Serge's antics. He's insane in a fun way and combines genius with murder.
What does George Wilson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
George Wilson keeps the characters alive. He does remarkably well with such a complex narrative.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Yes.
Any additional comments?
If the chapters didn't run into one another and if I didn't have the sinking suspicion I was missing the last paragraph or so of some of the chapters, I would have no complaints.

Nothing Like Carl Hiassen (sp?)
Comparing this book to Carl Haissen (I can never spell his name correctly) is like comparing Slap Shot 3 to the original. To make things worse, the reader is HORRIBLE.

Walk the dog
We all have a little (or a lot) of Serge in us or at least we know someone who could trigger us up to that level. This is a very funny book - read it while walking the dog!

Narrator Needs Surge's Tour
Love this series. This one meandered A bit more than usual, but altogether a good romp. The narrator does need to ask locals how to pronounce location names though. it kept taking me out of the element when he would say names with a non Floridian accent.

Da boys + girls are back!
Nice story line and quick timing. Serve and Coleman take listeners on a fast paced trip of FL Keys. Most of the locations are probably not widely advertised. The 2nd book was not a disappointment!
