Summary

Best-selling author Lucy Score returns to Knockemout, Virginia, following fan-favorite Things We Never Got Over with Knox's brother Nash's story.

Police Chief Nash Morgan is known for two things: Being a good guy and the way his uniform accentuates his butt. Two bullets put a dent in that Southern charm but—thankfully—spared his spectacular rear end.

He’s got his hands full with the man who shot him still on the loose, healing wounds, and citizens who think of the law as more of a “guideline”. Throw in the gloomy mood that clings to him, and the last thing he needs is a smart-mouthed, gorgeous new neighbor making him feel things he doesn’t have the energy to feel.

Lina has her reasons for being in town. She’s on a mission and the fewer people that find out about it, the better. She does her best work alone, and as soon as she finds what she’s after, she’s hitting the road for the next solo adventure.

Too bad the town of Knockemout has other ideas. Soon Lina finds herself sucked into small-town life.

If you’ve read Pt 1, you know what to expect!

I listened to Pt 1 of the Knockemout series & I really didn’t know what to make of it. But whatever it was, I didn’t dislike it, it made me laugh & I enjoyed the listen so I thought I’d try Pt 2!
Its exactly what you get in the first book. It’s sex scenes with a story running in the background! But like the first book, it was enjoyable. It was laugh out loud funny at times, mostly the description during the sex scenes. I said it about the first book & I’ll say it for this too, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of those sex scenes were written by a man because they are cheesy, cringey & hilarious!! But do you know what, it adds to the enjoyment & entertainment value and probably without it, I’d have enjoyed it far less. It carries the book I reckon.
Even after listening to the first 2 books, I still don’t know what to make of this series. It’s not great but it’s not bad either. It’s like a guilty pleasure book maybe. Just switch your brain off & accept it for what it is, a made up love, lust & sex story with some not very believable characters but you still invest in them anyhow! The story itself is a bit long & dragged out however & I believe it could’ve been shorter & not taken anything away from it.
The narration was same as book 1. Sebastian York was better than Lila Winters. I found Lilas narration a bit whiney & high pitched at times, also found that for book 1.

Fabulous!

Loved this book - Nash is swoon worthy and I loved Lina’s character too. Lucy Score has become one of my favourite authors over the past year and this book did not disappoint! Really hope there will be more books in this series.

A good story

I listened to this straight after the other book in the sequel. I am glad I didn't have a gap in between. The story lines match well and you get answers about what happened to other characters in this plot line.
The plot isn't as catchy as the other story but I still enjoyed it. Parts could have been left out but overall I would recommend.

It was long but I loved it.
I loved Nash & Lina’s character.
I couldn’t wait to get home every night to listen this story. Sad I’ve finished it but can’t wait to the 3rd one.

Love the book

I love this series. I loved Naomi and Nox but I love Nash and Lina. This book had me laughing out loud. Loved how Lucy has made Knockemout. I want to live there! Something tells me we will be getting Lucien and Sloane ‘s story next.

I really enjoy the Knockemout series

I have completely fallen in love with Knockemout and the whole family. However, the plot seems very similar to the first book, just slight tweaks for the characteristics of Nash and Leena.

also really dissapionted that it's narrated by the same people it's hard to get around it not being Knox and Naomi.

I will still be listening to the new book in spet when it comes out I just pray it's different narrators.

Absolutely lovely!

A thoroughly enjoyable story! Well-rounded, relatable characters & fantastic writing! Some definite laugh-outloud moments, but the story also touches on a number of serious issues... Written with so much love, it makes you want to pack up and move to Knockemout! SebYo shines like the superstar he is, and Lila Winters is simply brilliant!
