Summary

Come to the stage between two worlds - come to the Theatre of the Imagination. On this six-part live performance series, best-selling author and beloved cantadora (keeper of the old stories) Clarissa Pinkola Estes shares the work of her lifetime: myths, tales and poetry with the power to nourish and heal.

Contained within the audio for Theater of the Imagination are the great univeral themes - tales of loss and ressurection, of love and sacrifice; of the courage to survive- yet it is if Dr. Estes is speaking only to you.

Inspiration and Celebration

Stunning, as always, I have come to love Clarissa Pinkola Estes through her work and this is both inspiring and a celebration of who and what we are.

Real, moving, heart opening.

More ancient wisdom passed on humbly through fairy tales. The explanations of the keys to the stories guarantee to give you a kinder perspective on your own patterns. Enriching stuff.

Sublime

I love everything about Clarissa's work and this is one of my favorites, along with Women Who Run with the Wolves. A deep dive into ourselves with a true elder of our times... Nourishing on every level.

Magical as always

I never tire of listening to CPE bring her work to life. I read women who run with the wolves in 1998 in my mid 30’s and it had a profound effect on my life. She has stories and wisdom for every stage of life and I am still finding nourishment from their medicine in my late 50’s.

So very worth it!

If you could sum up Theatre of the Imagination, Volume 1 in three words, what would they be?

Heartfelt, fascinating and honest.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Theatre of the Imagination, Volume 1?

The bringing to life much of Dr Estes' written work which I have followed for many years.

Have you listened to any of Clarissa Pinkola Estes’s other performances? How does this one compare?

At 7 plus hours it lasts but still doesn't seem long enough, the sections fly by so fast you just never want it to end!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The chapter on the Ugly duckling moved me to tears because it felt as though she was reading it to me and me alone,

Any additional comments?

This book holds wisdom that can be heard on many levels. If you are a complete beginner through to a seasoned fan, there will be a lesson for all
