Summary
I have several mothers.
It's a bit complicated for me.
Especially as they really don't like each other.
There's even one who's going to die.
Maybe it's a little bit my fault....
Maybe everything happened because of me.
Because I can't remember which one is the real one.
Malone, a child of four, starts to claim that his mother isn't his real mother. It seems impossible. His mother has birth certificates, photos of him as a child and even the paediatrician confirms this is her child. The school psychologist is the only one who believes him, and he's in a race against time to find out the truth....
The Other Mother is a blistering new novel full of twists and turns from the best-selling author of After the Crash.

Truly addictive story
First novel I’ve listened to by Bussi after my mum suggested it, absolutely loved it. Just when you think you know what’s going on you’re thrown off course again- finished the whole 12+ hours in 3 days! Thought the reader was great too, though there were a few audio/ pronunciation hiccups but that’s just me being super picky (also thought Zerda’s voice was a little odd, but again that’s just personal preference). Overall a fab listen- would definitely recommend.

Fork in Eyes Would’ve Been More Fun
Hated this book. The story should have been told in 4 hours, maximum. Instead it dragged on and on and on with nothing relevant happening. Literally could have listened to the first chapter and last 3 chapters and skipped everything in between. Copious unnecessary character backstories, which *still* didn’t manage to make me care about any of the people. Major plot holes, especially in the ending, and no clever twists or surprises, you can guess the ending 10 miles off. Totally unbelievable and consistently annoying. The narrator is mostly good but terrible with men’s voices, especially the primary villain. What a waste of a credit.
