Summary

The Wicked Aftermath is an emotionally gripping story of love, loss, and hope, with a rich and entrancing happily ever after. All Wicked novels may be enjoyed as standalone romances.

When the person you blame for your grief is the only one who can save you from the pain....

Tank Wicked lost his sister and has since vowed to save everyone else in his path. He lives by the creed of the Dark Knights motorcycle club, sworn to protect and respect his community. He selflessly saves lives as a volunteer firefighter and treats the men and women who work for him at his tattoo shop like family. But life isn’t a balance scale where good deeds negate bad things to come, and one foggy night life guts Tank once again. When a car careens over the side of a bridge and into a river, Tank springs into action, plunging into the water to rescue the passengers. Four people go into the river, but only three come out alive.

Leah Yates is just trying to make it through each day. When the man she blames for her grief becomes the only one who can pull her from the depths of despair, she discovers that even hope comes at a price. Maybe this time she won't have to face it alone.

Set on the sandy shores of Cape Cod, the Wickeds feature fiercely protective heroes, strong heroines, and unbreakable family bonds. If you think bikers are all the same, you haven't met the Dark Knights. The Dark Knights are a motorcycle club, not a gang. Their members stick together like family and will stop at nothing to keep their communities safe. Some of the Wickeds’ love stories will be hilariously fun and deeply emotional, others will tear at your heartstrings and include injections of humor, but they will all leave you wishing you could climb in the audio and join them.

Wickeds always keep their promises

Gah!!! I'm so over the moon with Tank, he's just wonderful and amazing.

I adored this book, really adored it, I think is one of my favourites from this series.

The story just flowed pretty well, it didn't drag or got boring, it was just great.

I loved Tank and Leah, they were so perfect for each other. And the girls, they are such a riot, super cute and adorable little ones.
Their family is awesome, it makes me want to be part of their circle of family and friends, they are so supportive of each other and are there when you need them.

As for the narration, it was so good, loved the way Lance Greenfield and Jennifer Mack delivered this story, their voices, paced, tone and performances are the best.

Tank is a giant with a heart of gold that is pushing through life determined to help anybody in need to redeem the past. Leah and her little girls bring out his most protective instincts and find the way to heal his broken heart. An amazing story!

Leah and Benson!

Leah is a waitress at the pub that is owned by Tank’s parent’s and is flustered every time that he comes in. She may be attracted to him, but she prefers to keep her life private and her family is her world. Their lives collide on a very personal basis when he is there when she needs someone the most however guilt, regret and the need to protect herself and her girls has her pushing him away.

Benson has a painful past of his own that he is trying to make amends for even though it was not his fault. He has been attracted to her for a while, but he also knows that there is much more to her than he knows. After he comes to her rescue the one thing he does know is that he isn’t about to let her or her girls walk out of his life.

Leah and Benson are kindred souls as they have both endured tragedies that have shaped their lives. Their relationship is a slow burn as Leah tries to deal with the aftereffects of the latest blow that life has dealt her and Benson is determined to be there for her even if she wants to be alone. The narrators did a great job of bringing this heart wrenching story about love, loss and opening your heart to life. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

MC Contemporary Romance

The Wicked Aftermath by Melissa Foster is a contemporary romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Lance Greenfield and Jennifer Mack. This is the second book in The Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside series and can be read as a standalone.

I absolutely love Melissa’s books. They always pull me in and leave a smile on my face. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Tank and Leah. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can’t wait to dive into the next book in the series Crazy, Wicked Love to be released on March 23, 2022 so I can get Dwayne's story.

Lance and Jennifer did an amazing job on the narration. They really brought the story to life. I can't wait to listen to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend this book if you love MC romances or contemporary romances.

So amazingly good.

This book left me with all of the feels. I enjoyed the narration and felt they added so much more depth and chemistry to the dialogue. The book was well written and the characters were multi dimensional. A definite must read.

Falling for Tank!

Be still my heart! Tank has to be the most wonderful of the Wickeds. I love each and every one of them, but in this story, Melissa Foster has created a giant of a man with a heart of a teddy bear. To start the story, we are faced with a tragic situation, and Leah is forced to deal with another heartbreak while helping her adorable daughters through the situation. But she is not alone, despite her thoughts. Tank is there every step of the way. And with Tank, comes his entire family. From Grandpa Mike, who is one of the best characters to have graced the pages of this series, to Tank's parents, siblings and the brotherhood of the Dark Knights, there is always someone willing to help. Foster works us through relevant issues of fear, grief, trust and love. She always brings out such realism in her stories with a touch of humor and in this case the funniest of little girls as they feed Tank and bet his beard. Foster is a go to author for me, knowing I am in for a great story that will fill my heart.

Lance Greenfield is the perfect pick for Tank. Talk about great voices! He is that alpha protective sound with a warmth that fills your heart with happiness. The gentleness he adds to his voice just aids in the quickness of falling for Tank. Jennifer Mack is another favorite of mine, and she shines as Leah. Leah is full of emotion and strength, and Mack delivers with a performance that kept me riveted. I loved this team and am looking forward to the next in this series.

So beautiful, constant tears in my eyes

I first read the ebook and I was constantly in tears.

Completely heartfelt, beautifully written, this story detailing the heartache and love of Tank and Leah was wonderful. There were so many tears borne from empathy as I read about Leah and Tanks’ losses. There was so much laughter too, what with Junie and Rosie (Leah’s daughters) antics. And lest we forget, the antics of all the Wickeds, yet another fantastic, loving humorous family that the author, Melissa Foster, is sharing with us. What I loved the most is how well the author draws the readers in- we become a part of that family and I do wish that these wonderful characters really did exist because I would want to hug all of them for their loving hearts. In a time when the real world is going through major upheaval, this author allows us to escape to a world where people are good, loving and helpful to each other. These types of escapes are so priceless!

And this wonderful story was just elevated with a fantastic narration team, including Jennifer Mack and Lance Greenfield. There are a lot of characters and both did such a great job playing multiple characters and also, infusing the roles with emotion. SO great!!
