A Barefoot Summer is a beautiful, touching story about coming home, the importance of family, and the special place that first loves hold in our hearts. Sometimes you find perfect where you least expect it. Libby Potter has just lost the perfect job, the perfect apartment and the perfect boyfriend. Moving back to the home town that she couldn’t wait to escape when she was younger was definitely not on her to-do list. Excellent BoxSet
It's very hard to write a review in a box set without, in fact writing too much or giving too much away, however, what I can say is that this is an excellent collection of stories, and although each of the stories could be listened to as a standalone in my opinion, it's best to start at the beginning and then progress through them in order as you will get much more enjoyment overall if you do.
The good news is that all the books are now in this complete single boxed set and you get them all for the price of a single credit that's got to be a winner! So you can spoil yourself and enjoy learning some Australian history too. You'll also be able to enjoy becoming acquainted with this wonderful family and be on the front line so to speak as all their secrets are revealed.
The narration of this whole box set was very well done by Brigid Lohrey who brought such depth to the stories and brought all the interesting characters to life!

Great Boxed Set!
This boxed set contains the complete series (The Waratah Inn, One Summer in Italy, The Summer Sisters, and Christmas at The Waratah Inn). I loved this series. Each stories are captivating, intriguing, and engaging. Brigid Lohrey did a great job bringing these stories to life. I enjoyed it.
