When the doors of the lift crank open, the only thing Thomas remembers is his first name. But he's not alone. He's surrounded by boys who welcome him to the Glade - a walled encampment at the centre of a bizarre and terrible stone maze. Story
In Viking times, Norse myths predicted the end of the world, an event called Ragnarök that only the gods can stop. When this apocalypse happens, the gods must battle the monsters - wolves the size of the sun, serpents that span the seabeds - all bent on destroying the world. But the gods died a long time ago. Matt Thorsen knows every Norse myth, saga, and god as if it was family history - because it is family history. Most people in the modern-day town of Blackwell, in fact, are direct descendants of either Thor or Loki, including Matt's classmates Fen and Laurie Brekke. But knowing the legends and completely believing them are two different things.

Very good
This book is very good, unlike some of the other books i have listened too, Jeese really expressed the characters, and they have different voices for each character, which is very good. There is not much to say about this book, i am not into gods and other things like that, but im more into fantasy like... grover! He is a goat boy type thing, which is a bit like one of those things from harry potter that is half human half horse. Anyway, overall great book and i love listening to them. Overall 5 stars because it is very good. Performance 5 stars because they express the characters. Story 2 stars because im more into fantasy and not gods

Voices were incredibly annoying.
While I acknowledge the narrator is good at forces I REALLY wish he'd take it easy with some voices. The book never specified what type of accent Artemis and the hunters would have so why not keep it neutral? And oh boy the oracle, what would have been an unsettling scene was ruined by the narrator's cringey attempt at a spooky voice.

TERRIBLE & OFFENSIVE voice actor
I noticed the voice actor’s awful reading when listening to the first book but soldiered on because I was enjoying the story and don’t have time to physically read a book. He doesn’t follow the cues given by the text at all, reading lines that are meant to be said angrily as though cheerful ALL THE TIME.
But the terrible and quite frankly offensive Asian accent that he uses for Anabeth’s stepmother was the last straw. Nowhere in the description does it say she has any type of accent, simply that she is Asian. As an Asian woman myself, this HORRIBLE decision from the voice actor infuriated me.

Brilliant
Would you listen to The Titan's Curse: Percy Jackson, Book 3 again? Why?
Yes, read the books first, then downloaded them to listen to while traveling. Even had my husband listening to them.
What did you like best about this story?
Perfect mixture of Greek history, wit, feelings of growing up...very clever and adventurous
What about Jesse Bernstein’s performance did you like?
expressive
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
They did make a film, and changed way too much of the plot. Still trying to work out why. Should have used the producers of 'Harry Potter'. The story is brilliant as is!
Any additional comments?

Adventure continues
Titans curse nicely expands the Percy Jackson world with more locations and characters.
However i personally was annonyed by some of the gods personalities and that brought the story down a bit for me.l
That being said the narration is still spectacular and Jesse Bernstein continues to shine.
