Summary

A police raid gone horribly wrong. A band of deadly cult-terrorists on the run. A family held hostage. One man no one counted on to be there—Jack Widow.

When an ATF raid on a cult compound goes horribly wrong, the cult leader and his band of deadly terrorists escape.

On the run and desperate, they need a place to hide. A remote family farm makes for the perfect place. But there’s one big problem. The family that lives there has a guest—a drifter they picked up by the name of Jack Widow.

Widow, the ultimate loner, comes to a standoff with pure evil in the million-selling action-thriller series.

Fans of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, Vince Flynn’s Mitch Rapp, and Mark Greaney’s Gray Man will love the Jack Widow Action-Thriller Series.

cousin

I love the narration of Alan Philip Ormond. He brings out the action, humour and emotions of the characters. Perfect

I have loved all the other books in this series, and found myself really not wanting this one to end.

When a siege on a cult compound in South Carolina goes horribly wrong , the leader and some of the group gets away. All ex military, all with special op training and all dark and evil. Innocent people and many ATF agents have been hurt and killed in the explosives at the compound.
Jack Widow has hitched a ride with a local Christmas tree farmer. He’s invited to stay the day and night with his family. He is made to feel one of them. When Widow wakes up to find the farmer has gone missing with a stranger, and the ATF and local law petrol office, believe that he has gone with one of the cult members who got away. Cousin Widow gets involved. He will not allow these cult members to destroy this family.

Such action and holding my breath .

Child and Blade should do a collaboration!!!!

WOW! I can’t believe a book from Scott Blade that’s almost 14 hours!! I was delighted to see this. I check periodically for new releases of his books since they are already available on Amazon and have been for a while. I’m not sure why it’s taking so long for them to make it to audio but am very happy when another gets released.
I also wanted to say how happy I am that the author continues to have Alan Philip Ormond narrate this series. Ormond is a top rate narrator who in my opinion doesn’t narrate enough books in the mystery/thriller genre. I think he could read a medical chart and make it sound suspenseful!!
When a siege on a cult compound in South Carolina goes horribly wrong (visions of Waco), the leader of the group gets away.
Meanwhile Jack Widow has caught a ride with a local tree farmer. He’s invited to stay the night with his family. The next day Widow wakes up to find the friendly farmer has gone missing with a stranger they find out is one of the cult members who got away. The ATF shows up with local law enforcement and of course Widow gets involved. He can’t allow these cult members to destroy this family. They’re nice people and invited him into their home. He shared family time with them and remembers how his own childhood differed from this. How he never had a real family and how he missed out on the love and tenderness these people had.
I absolutely love this series. I know it’s been said how this character reminds many of the Jack Reacher series but honestly the two are interchangeable! You could easily change Jack Widow to Jack Reacher and the the story would be just as good.
This book as well as the entire series has MY VERY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!!!

Great story

Very well narrated and really good story. Reacher has competition. Hope to see it on the big screen someday.

Poorly written

The author has a poor commitment to details in his books, so I assume he writes for money only. The storytelling is unquestionably wordy and repetitive but should be somewhat entertaining for people who don't read books and have no idea what is considered a bad writer versus a good writer versus a great writer and storyteller; Scott Blade is the latter based on his Jack Widow series.

Jack Widow has to meet Jack Reacher!!!

I’m aware about the history of this writer and his protagonist but I wish there was some way to get Lee and Andrew Child and Scott Blade to get their two characters to come together some how in a joint book (or series). I think this would revolutionize the book industry. I know this isn’t going to happen but if I did Alan Philip Ormond has to be the narrator! He is Jack Widow! There are plenty of great narrators in this industry but he brings this character and book series to another level. I can’t wait for the next book, I will continue to use all my credits on this series.

Best Jack Widow book yet

This is the best Jack Widow book released in audio yet! Alan and Scott brings Widow to life so much in this book. The book shows a human side of Widow that I don’t think as present in the others in the series.

Can’t wait for the next audio book. Thanks
