Summary

How do you tame a savage?

Sabrina Gallo is an animal.

From the moment I laid eyes on her, I had to have her.

But Sabrina won’t be taken by anyone. She’s wild and reckless—downright dangerous.

Lucky for me, I’ve always loved a challenge…I want to hunt.

Even if I capture her, caging a tiger doesn’t mean it’s tamed.

The harder she fights, the more ruthless I become.

She needs to learn how savage I can be.

The Lark Notes:

You asked for it, you got it! I've never received more requests for a book. This is for all my rowdy Love Larks, because you deserve it. Sabrina Gallo and Adrik Petrov are fire and fire. Their relationship is an inferno that could burn the world down.

—Sophie

The Savage is a stand-alone story in the Kingmakers universe. It’s a dark mafia romance, lovers to enemies to lovers again. Listener, prepare yourself: The steam is off the charts, including FF and FFM scenes.

Wow!!!

Narrated with confidence, style and flair by Jennifer Blom and Bryant Walker Savage is one intense, compulsive listen! From the start we are made completely aware of the determination, honesty and bravado of Sabrina . She leaps off the page and engages attention for her brilliance and devil may care attitude. Adrik is more measured, but clearly not only attracted to Sabrina but up to speed on her skills, abilities and nature. I loved them both, the intense, dramatic and hot story which unfolds and the fabulous narration. Fantastic! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Savage & Uninhibited

Imagine my utter surprise when Sophie Lark released the fifth book in the Kingmaker series. Sabrina Gallo was always a fascinating secondary character, appearing throughout the series. But after her and Adrik Petrov's appearance in The Spy, I was completely intrigued. To say I was ecstatic that Sophie Lark devoted a book to Sabrina and Adrik, is an understatement. I couldn't wait to dive in. Sabrina and Adrik are a volatile couple, savages, an active volcano of lust, passion, and hate ready to erupt. Their story was nothing short of captivating and enthralling.

Sabrina is headstrong, spirited, intelligent, and wild with an iron will. Adrik is dominant, demanding, and just as stubborn and determined as Sabrina. Adrik wants to bend Sabrina to his will, taming the wild, but to succeed, he must become as unrestrained as her. The dynamics between the pair is a sweltering eruption and in some ways, toxic.

The storyline is rich with a whole load of spice, steam, and drama with the right amount of plot layers, unpredictability, twists, and turns. Sabrina and Adrik's relationship is as complex as they are, going through multiple stages while gradually evolving. Their story is an epic journey that carries the readers/listeners through many ups and downs. I'll be honest there were parts I didn't enjoy, specifically the FF and FFM scenes. I've never been a big fan of FF/FFM; however, Sophie Lark's depiction correlated with the characters' personas.

Jennifer Blom and Bryant Walker are outstanding performers. They captured and embodied the essence of Sabrina and Adrik, illustrating the various shades of their personalities, passion, and intensity. Overall, The Savage was a terrific listen, a phenomenally written Dark Mafia Romance with remarkable character development and superb narration. The Savage is a standalone and can be thoroughly enjoyed without reading/listening to the previous four Kingmakers installments. It's a journey worth taking and one I highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic

This storyline really does show what a strong independent young woman really looks like. I loved how this relationship grew. A tough cookie that I’d love to meet.

Good Listen

Adrik believes he loves Sabrina and knows how to handle her. But his worst mistake is not being truthful and only telling her what she needed to hear. Now that he has lost her, he realizes that he has created a monster that he can not control and must be willing to risk it all in order to save her and get her back.

A Drama-Filled Wild Ride

The Savage is Sabrina and Adrik's story and it is full of fire, passion, love, and drama, drama, and more drama. Adrik wants Sabrina and will stop at nothing to have her. Their relationship was definitely one of insta-lust and their chemistry is off the charts smoking, but the flip side of all the chemistry and passion is when things turn heated in not so good ways, things go bad quickly. Both Adrik and Sabrina are independent and stubborn and strong-willed. There was a lot about their personalities that worked well together, but a lot that caused them to butt heads at times and for things in their relationship to explode, and not in a good way.

Adrik convinces Sabrina to join him in Russia instead of returning to Kingmakers, and she agrees, with the belief that they will be partners in all things moving forward. Unfortunately, when push comes to shove, Adrik continues to make choices he feels like are best independent of Sabrina's input, causing huge rifts in their relationship, and in turn Sabrina retaliates, setting into motion a drastic chain of events.

There were parts of this book I enjoyed and others not so much. It wasn't my favorite of the series. I think overall Sabrina and Adrik were good together and obviously loved each other, but they really had poor communication skills and were kind of immature, and their stubborness was a bit much for me. Their behavior towards each other at times was a giant red flag of exactly how not to act in a loving healthy relationship. I struggled at time to connect with or like both characters. I also really enjoyed the whole series because of Kingmakers and this book was different as it had nothing to do with Kingmakers. It was still interesting and intriguing but different.

The audiobook was fantastic. The narration by Jennifer Blom and Bryant Walkerwas wonderful and it made the experience come to life. I do think the story was perhaps a little lengthier than necessary, but I do think listening to the great narration helped enhance the experience. I would definitely recommend these narrators and look forward to listening to more of their work in the future. #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock

Explosive

That’s all I can say about Adrik & Sabrina . They are both headstrong and don’t back down from each other so their relationship isn’t all hearts and roses it’s blood , sweat and tears and it was so right for these two.

Love this series

I love this series and Sabrina Gallo is a boss but that should not be surprising considering her parents. Adrian Pertrov is a boss as well and these two combined is absolute fire together. I loved their relationship in this book the things they went though to be together in the end. Like I said this series about Kingmakers was amazing one of the best series ever about the second generation of kids from previous books.

The perfect capstone to this awesome series!

This book completely took me by surprise. It sits firmly in the Kingmakers universe, but expands their world beyond the walls of the school.

Sabrina Gallo is wild, uninhibited, and a free spirit. Her heart is very much in the world of the mafia, and she sees a career and life beyond school. Adrik Petrov is a Kingmaker’s alum, ready to make his mark on Moscow.

Together, Adrik and Sabrina are combustible. They complement each other, and fearlessly take on the established mafia. Their chemistry is off the chants, and their Wolfpack will follow even if Sabrina hasn’t completely earned their trust yet.

Sabrina and Adrik find their leadership styles also can create friction. Adrik rules by his gut and makes decisions without consulting Sabrina. Sabrina pushes back on who the boss is in the operation, as she sees things from a different point of view.

Besides their wild sexual proclivities, there is danger lurking behind every corner. Loyalties are questioned. Boundaries and territories are threatened, both within and without the Wolfpack. On top of it all, these two characters are undeniably smart, sexy, savvy, and strong.

The narration was pitch-perfect. This story drew me in from its wild beginning to its beautiful end. This series was so engaging, the conclusion, while satisfying, keeps me hoping for more from this universe. Highly recommend.

Darkly smoking hot…

Man, what a rush. Amazing story. Amazing end to the series. I know this was an add on, but I’m so glad it came because… I am still sweating. What a ride. I will definitely be relistening to this series. The narrators were perfect. They did an amazing performance.

Jennifer and Bryant did a great job on the narration. They all really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

BORING🙄

I was bored out of my mind. The spice is good and Sabrina had so much potential but she just annoyed me. There was no build up to their relationship, it just happened.

Explosive fun time!

The Savage is the 5th and final book in Sophie Lark’s Kingmakers series. This was a sort of bonus book that wasn’t originally planned for the series, but fans wanted these characters to have a story and it came to be (love to see that). I would say this book does have a different vibe or feel to it from the first 4 books, just because it’s set mostly away from Kingmakers Academy. But of course it follows the same characters we already know and are invested in.

This story is about Adrik and Sabrina (her parents are Nero and Camille Gallo). Sabrina is a badass character, Sophie writes badass women so well in general. Sabrina is like a mashup of her Aunt Aida (one of my fav Sophie characters) and another badass Sophie Lark heroine, Sloane. Sabrina doesn’t usually date men, but Adrik has her attention and I kind of loved how messy these 2 are together. They are both explosive type characters, an opposites-attract romance is fun to see play out but sometimes it’s fun to watch 2 characters so similar come together and that was definitely the case for Sabrina and Adrik. This story jumps off right from the start and so much happens! We follow them in Moscow where she moves in with him and his wolf pack. We get a lot of drug action and that whole business happening.

So many fun moments! Fast paced energy and action, she steals his Ducati to take on a joyride, we got an explosive FFM scene 🔥, they play Halo together, I loved Adrik’s conversation with her father Nero in the car, the John Wick gun, I loved her love for cars (she’s definitely her parent’s daughter), a FF scene, and just so many kinky fun playtimes between Adrik and Sabrina. I loved seeing all the familiar characters we know and love and the epilogue was so good and had me wanting to go back and binge through Brutal Birthrights all over again because I just don’t want to be done with this characters and their families!

Book 5 - Kingmakers, can be standalone

This is book 5 in Lark's Kingmakers series and can be read / listened to as a standalone. I struggled with this one a little bit but in the end loved it. The narration is perfection the storyline is well written, exciting, dangerous and thrilling. I was captivated by these characters and the storyline from the start. Main characters are Sabrina and Adrik. So my struggle was with the same sex scenes - not really my thing but wasn't overly done so okay - that three way was so vivid and so steamy - wow.,,the other issue that was hard for me was the drug use and lack of addition expressed which i thought was pretty unrealistic. What I especially loved was the character growth and the push and pull of these main characters - the way Sabrina infiltrated herself to be a vital part in each member of this "family" was so rewarding and I just really loved that as well as the humanization of Adrik and making him vulnerable. A wonderful listen - oh the accents (swoon). Loved this read / listen - can't wait to see what's next.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I voluntarily provided this review.

Sizzling Hot!

Sooo Steamy! Almost fried my earbuds! The story has many levels that I found interesting. Both Sabrina and Adrick seemed to have a contest of who could be wilder and crazier which is completely entertaining. I loved the chase! Adrick impressed me with his planning and how he never got mad no matter what she did……up to a point. Both of these two together are sizzling hot, sexy and I love their chemistry!

I did listen to this on audio. Jenifer Blom and Bryant Walker are the narrators who do a Smoking job! They each brought these characters to the next level. I could listen to Mr Walker speak with that accent all day!

Can Sabrina be my spirit animal. She is something else and add Adrik to that mix. Gosh I couldn't stop listening to this book. Sophie did an amazing job writing this book. Jennifer and Bryant did an outstanding job narrating this book.
