The Naked Trader: Second Edition
An absolute must for anyone who is thinking of investing in shares. Robbie Burns is extremeley knowledgable and relays this knowledge in a simple and understandable format. He outlines potential pit falls and common school boy errors. What makes this work even more appealing is his honesty. Robbie shares invaluable resources in the book that are essential when embarking on this particular journey, such as books and websites. A great read/listen. I highly recommend this book. I have gained knowledge for under a tenor, that would have cost me thousands in some of the seminars or courses that are out there.

A great intro to trading...
I have bought a few books on trading in the hope of doing it successfully, and I havent got further than the first few pages. I am not much of a reader so it has to be interesting or I put it down and dont pick up again! Then I bought this book which is great - I was reading it while commuting on the tube. Its so easy to read and follow that even on a packed swealtering tube I could concentrate on it. Not only that but its really funny, despite being about shares! then I changed jobs so didnt need to get the tube so I only got half way through and so bought the audio book to finish off the experience whilst driving! Its balanced and informative and easy to follow. The author does use it to plug his own website etc, but who wouldnt if they had a massive captive audience and thought they could make a bit more dosh - he is obviously clever and commercially minded and so I am very happy to learn from him! Overall its a great book & would highly recommend!

easy listen
ok book based on UK which makes a change from U.S, books easy to understand great for beginers or those who wish to get a basic understanding of trading/investing. Best thing is no silly chart talk of the moon passing venus so time to buy rubbish.

great fun
If you could sum up The Naked Trader in three words, what would they be?
I listened to Jim cramers money book which was hyped intense American approach.Whilst its fair to say I got something out of it, Robbie's book was far superior. He brings a fun approach to what could be a dull subject in the hands of others and packs the book with tons of practical advice. The narration was good to although its weird how David sounds so like Angus Deaton
If you want to get into shares using his advice then I have actually bought the book as a source of reference as well.I found the audio great for first listen but so much info you will either have to take notes or have the book.
3 words fun, practical, relevant
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Naked Trader?
I laughed from start to finish but Robbie's definition of an analyst made me really laugh
Which character – as performed by David Ryder – was your favourite?
Robbie of course
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Educational and entertaining
What made the experience of listening to The Naked Trader the most enjoyable?
This is a great book that has helped me fine tune my trading strategy. There are some real gems in here if you are a keen trader. Robbie is also a successful investor himself so is passing on his knowledge in plain and simple terms. Thoroughly enjoyed it, might even listen to it again.

Definitely worth a read, down to earth and genuine insight.
The one thing you get from this book is that the author genuinely knows what he's doing. No magic tricks, no quick wins, just solid advice grounded in reality.
It's clear that Robbie has a different approach that he had worked out himself. But he doesn't profess to know everything or win every trade. He takes you through his hard learned methodology and approach with the aim of telling you what he does that makes him successful.
I found the advice to be useful and realistic, especially on some of the less written about topics like ISA's and online trading tools.
