Five years ago, Olivia Sutherland was convicted of plotting to murder her husband.

Now she’s finally free, Olivia has three goals. Repair her relationship with her daughter. Clear her name. And bring down her husband—the man who framed her.

Critic reviews

"An absolute belter of a novel. Cally is the absolute queen of the page-turner." (Elizabeth Haynes)

"Wow. Clever, taut, pacy and addictive with twist after unpredictable twist. I couldn’t stop turning the pages desperate to know the outcome. And what an ending! My favourite C. L. Taylor book yet!" (Claire Douglas, Sunday Times best-selling author)

"I loved The Guilty Couple so much I was up until 2am finishing it. Twisty, compelling with some real stand out characters, tense and fast-paced and thoroughly unputdownable." (Angela Marsons, multimillion-copy best-selling author)

Gripping!

After listening to C.L.Taylor's last book (Her Last Holiday), I added this one in anticipation. In my opinion it far surpassed that. It was very good due to the excellent narration, and the suspenseful situations that were described , namely races against time that left the reader gasping!

Dislikable characters

Keen to return as I couldn’t get into the book and ended up skipping to the end to at least see what happened

Another masterpiece by C.L. Taylor

A masterclass in how to write a tricky jigsaw puzzle. From the beginning to the end, with every twist and turn the author takes you on a rollercoaster ride. Crime fiction at its best and with Clare Corbett in the pilot's seat, this book is one of the best so far this year.

Not a bad story but childish dialogue

Even Clare Corbetts narration could not make this better. I liked the premise of the story but despite an appealing beginning, the dialogue was purile. Doubt that I will read more of this authors work whilst I can still applaud the storyline.

Couldn't put it down.

Loved it, listened to it in two sittings. I like C.L.Taylors books, because they keep me on my toes, often, I smugly know how it's going to end, only to be completely wrong! Great writer, well worth a read/listen.

Very pleasing narration, Claire Corbett is easy to listen to and keeps things easy to follow. I hope she does the narration on any future books by the author!
