When funny, kind and gorgeous Shane proposes, Cara is over the moon. Excitement, however, quickly turns to apprehension when it seems that everyone has a fixed idea of the perfect wedding and arguments ensue. Absolutely brilliant!

Melissa Hill is a wonderful writer who keeps you longing to read the next chapter! Beautifully written , and beautifully read, by Deirdre O’Connell’s mellifluous voice. Even although I was in an extremely busy time, I couldn’t go to sleep until I had caught up with the Clancy wedding plans! This wonderful story keeps you hooked and Melissa shows great insight into complex family dynamics but brings an unexpected turn of events in the final chapters. This is an author to follow. Highly recommended.

An easy read...

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Yes, it was entertaining and worth a read /listen! Very east listening!

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The diversity of the characters and their views... It was interesting to hear the opinions of the different family members as the book progressed. I felt the story started strong but by the time I'd got half way through I had guessed how it would end, and I was right. That said I think it was written well.

Do you think The Guest List needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

I think the book ended on a well rounded note and doesn't need a second book.

Load of old drivel

Weak, predictable story with ghastly characters. I really would not bother. Narrator was boring and dull too. Wish I'd not bothered!
