Summary
The Gamble: Booktrack Edition adds an immersive musical soundtrack to your audiobook listening experience!
Life isn't meant to be perfect. It's meant to be lived....
Nina Sheridan thought she'd found the perfect man who would become the perfect husband. She was wrong. When Nina realizes the man she planned to grow old with doesn't know her at all, it's time to rethink her idea of perfect. And what better place to get her life in order than a remote Colorado mountain town halfway around the world?
Gnaw Bone, Colorado, may not be flashy or cosmopolitan, but it's got a brand of hospitality all its own. Nina isn't entirely sure she's ready to trade the life she thought she wanted in England for cozy evenings in her mountain retreat, and she definitely isn't sure she's ready to handle the connection she feels to the owner of her rental house, Max Holden....
Nina didn't come to Colorado to find love, but even the best-laid plans can go awry. Now, if Nina can let go of her past, Max - and a future in Gnaw Bone - might just be the perfect second chance she's been waiting for.
*Booktrack is an immersive format that pairs traditional audiobook narration to complementary music. The tempo and rhythm of the score are in perfect harmony with the action and characters throughout the audiobook. Gently playing in the background, the music never overpowers or distracts from the narration, so listeners can enjoy every minute. When you purchase this Booktrack edition, you receive the exact narration as the traditional audiobook available, with the addition of music throughout.

Continual background music
The music that constantly plays in the back ground is very annoying and distracting. The story is good but the “production” music is horrible

Great book, horrible audiobook
Great book, 5 stars! Horrible audiobook, with bad music in the background... I just read the book as regretted the wasted money on the audiobook.

Soundtrack make a great listen even better!
I didn't know what I was going to get with the gamble that has a soundtrack because a listened to the book so many times without it. The music and sounds gave it so much depth and detail to all the chapters. Great change!!

Background music has a negative impact on listening experience
Another brilliant book that I had read as e-book before listening to this audio version. Frustrating to have an otherwise good performance negatively impacted by the constant background music. Frantic searches for «turn music down or off» didn’t lead to any results.

Was it long?
This was long but I lost track of time. This was well written. It was sad, funny, serious and just everything. The narrator did an amazing job. I could tell who every character was. This was a good good read/listen. Kudos!!

No means no
Ugh. The h bugged me so much because she was such a pushover. The chemistry between the H and h wasn’t flushed out enough and it came across as unbelievable.
Also, if you do end up purchasing this book, get the regular version. The music was distracting and not mixed well with the narration.

A story of DV
The main character falls in love with man who is both emotionally and physically abusive, the but the author disguises this abuse as “mountain man” loving behavior. I only listened to the end with the hope that she would realize it and leave.
