Fantastic adventure

Oh wow what an exciting new sci-fi book that the author has created here. I really liked Max and his side kick Jack, you egg them on throughout with each different adventure. I thought the author was very clever with the world's he had created. And the narrator made it so exciting to listen too. I highly recommend this book to any sci-fi lover, looking forward to more.

Captivating

Ordinarily not my genre, but it was suggested to me to give it a go. I genuinely enjoyed the tale of Max anf his best pal, “T”. Definitely worth a read or listen.

Great series.

Great series and extremely entertaining. Would definitely be interested in more in this universe. All of the characters and species are fell described and fleshed out.
Narration by Eric Moore was amazing and I’d definitely listen to more by him!

Loved it!!

This was seriously nine plus hours well spent. The trilogy has Max crash landing on a planet where he meets his future wife. It had Max fighting for alliances. It had interstellar bro code. It was awesome!!!

Classic

This is three stories of a Federation Marshal and his adventures. It is true science fiction without any real "agenda" and of the old school. It involves Max learning that there are things and people beyond himself and learning to trust and love things other than humans.

The story line is great without any real attempt to push anything except a good story and entertainment. Enjoyed them a lot.

The narration was very good with many different characters being done well.

This book was provided free of charge with an expectation of an honest review.

Great universe-building and space drama

Although I prefer more cohesive stories with a single, paced plot, I still enjoyed The Federation Trilogy. It's packaged as three short stories/novellas in a single book, perhaps to make sure the customer gets his money's worth from the audiobook.

I'm guessing that the main character, Max, is something of a self-insert. While I was reading, I assumed that the author had some military/police background that he was drawing from, and I didn't notice that the MC had his middle name until after I finished listening. It didn't really turn me away, though, because Max is far from being a Gary Stu-type protagonist. I found him believable and sincere in his background and philosophy.

The relationship between Max and his best friend is complicated and goes through some severe hurdles, which I enjoyed reading about. The relationship between Max and his wife, less so. I don't think there was any substantial dialogue between them in the entire book; their marriage seemed built on physical attraction alone.

The book ends rather abruptly, which makes me think that the author has a sequel in mind. If so, I'm looking forward to further adventures of this inter-species buddy-cop duo.

I also thought the narrator did an excellent job, especially with the sea-shanties written into the chapters. Those songs were fun to listen to.

If you like political intrigue and combat in outer space, with intriguing alien species, I'm sure you'll love The Federation Trilogy.
