Very good

Pretty impressed and comfortable with the narrator. As always AR's writing is impeccable. The attention to detail and composition is excellent. The story didn't quite have the depth I would have expected but let's see what happens in book two.

She did it again! I Love This Book!

AR Shaw is one of my three favorite authors.

I loved the storyline, the description of everything in their world and of the characters themselves.

I don't know about y'all, but when I sit down in my comfy chair with something to drink and my two doxies beside me, I lay my head back, and close my eyes. Because I know I'm about to see a movie in my mind.

Everything is so vivid, colors, what the people are wearing, their faces, their hair styles, the homes, businesses, even Kevin's antique car 😁
I've done this since I was a little girl. I liked the pictures in the books my parents read to me, but what I saw when my eyes were closed was even better.

Bonus: the narrator was great too!
That's very important. Do you know why? Because I don't care how good a book is, if the narrator sucks it ruins the audio book.
Do you have any idea what that means for me?
Now I have to put my drink back on the table, move my two doxies out of their warm spots, and get myself out from under the blanket I was snuggled up in, without getting tangled up in it and falling on my butt! So I turn the audio book off, get a stronger drink than I have waiting for me in the other room and find my print copy to read to myself!
I guess that's not so bad. I can give the characters any voice I want them to have.

*** A word of advice ***
If you get a book, or audio book, that doesn't grab your attention in the first few pages, just put it back where you found it. Life is too short to struggle trying to read a bad book. There are too many good books just waiting for you to find them. So put that old boring book down and try The Drone Keeper on audible.

*Remember to close your eyes,
listen closely, and watch the movie in your mind.
