Summary

Tell Me the Truth About Loss is a psychologist’s journey through loss, grief and the worst of times, while finding hope along the way.

In March 2017, Niamh Fitzpatrick’s life fell apart overnight.

Her beloved sister, Dara, was killed in a helicopter crash. Soon afterwards, Niamh’s marriage ended, and she feared she would lose her home. Life as she knew it was gone forever, and the grief was overwhelming.

A psychologist for many years, Niamh’s job is to help clients through the toughest times in their lives. Drawing on everything she learned, first to survive and then, in time, to thrive, Tell Me the Truth About Loss is a psychologist’s journey through the worst of times, finding hope along the way. It is a beautiful audiobook for when life isn’t what you expect it to be.

Sibling Loss

A great listen. A very honest account of losing someone so close. This book has definitely helped me after losing my brother suddenly 3 months ago. Lovely to finish this book on Dara's anniversary 14 March, thinking of her and her family. I would highly recommend this book.

Honest, heart breaking and thought provoking!

Throughly enjoyed this story of loss. Had many similarities which I experienced when my dad passed away. Also, the loss of failed infertility helped me understand more about what my best friend went through.

Compelling listening

A unique and fascinating insight into personal grief and how loss is recognised when the death of Dara is so public contrasted with Niamh’s more private losses of her infertility and the end of her marriage. Very well written and some very good descriptions.
