Summary

Don’t miss the new summer novel from Sunday Times bestselling author Sarah Morgan!

A family wedding
Catherine Swift is a bestselling romance author, but her personal story hasn’t been quite so successful; three failed marriages have left her relationship with her daughters strained. Engaged once again, Catherine is counting on this wedding, at her villa in Corfu, to finally bring the family together.

A summer of secrets
Adeline can’t believe her mother is getting married for a fourth time, or that she’s expected to attend. It brings back the pain of her mother’s infidelity and the baby who was the result. Not that she blames her half-sister Cassie, but then she's never tried to know her, either. Cassie, on the other hand, is thrilled by her mother’s news – she’s always admired Catherine’s resilience, and is excited to meet the mystery groom. Cassie also has a secret of her own, and a summer in Corfu will give her the time she needs to process everything.

A chance to start over again
As the guests arrive on the island, and the big day approaches, Catherine begins to reveal secrets from her past, and suddenly both Cassie and Adeline realise that they don’t know their mother at all . . .

Annoying Narration

I normally love Sarah Morgan's books but this wasn't up to her usual standard I'm not sure if it was because the narrator was so irritating or just the plot which was predictable - it will teach me to listen to a sample in future !

Slightly Disappointed

Overall I was a bit disappointed with the story and the performance. The story lacked subtlety and finesse and I found it slightly repetitious. The narrator was too expressive and gave the words meaning that I might not have given them had I read them myself or if another narrator had read them in more neutral tones.

Story good, narration dreadful

I love Sarah Morgan books and was pleased to see a new one was out…. A good story is hard to find beneath the truly dreadful narration. I have no idea how this performance was passed for publication….. it’s the worst I’ve ever heard…..

Narration is bad & very irritating

The story is ok, pretty standard romance but the narrator was terrible. She was overly dramatic, shouting and exaggerating like she was on a stage!

Narrator awful

I love Sarah Morgan books and eagerly awaited this latest one. Couldn’t wait to start it, but was so horrified by the narration, I just couldn’t stand listening to it after the first sitting and had to send it back. Difficult to actually rate the story because I didn’t finish it.

Narrator is very poor

I rarely leave a review and would have happily handed this book back if I knew how! The narrator has to be one of the most irritating I’ve ever heard and I’ve a lot of audible books. Story line is okay. Overall it was predictable.
