Why does the narrator scream?

Superb and Enlightening
A masterfully written guide to Stoic principles bestowed on the reader while concurrently following the life (and eventual death) of . A must listen for anyone who wishes to learn about Stoicism and how it influenced one of the greatest Roman emperors.

Excellent and Practical
This is a great audio book! While weaving relevant examples from life to illustrate points, the author really gives practical methods of applying Stoic philosophy to our lives. I recommend this book to anyone looking to improve themselves. It’s a great launching point into Stoicism.

A great source for reflection on living
I waited long for this book arrival. Although I have listen many books about Stoic philosophy before this is a refreshing view. I have enjoyed work before, both his books and online courses, but this one is definitely outstanding.

Mostly excellent
Mostly excellent, very well-written and a good contextualization of Meditations. I only dropped one star due to the repetitive nature of some parts, almost as if the author were trying to stretch the book out. Still, well worth a read especially if you're interested in learning more about Stoic philosophy.

A dose of tranquility
This book is great because it offers actual suggestions of things to do to practice stoicism. My only frustration is that it starts to get a bit repetitive. Full disclosure, I skipped the second part about the history of Stoicism because I was really after the advice for living. I may go back and listen that part... someday!!!!

Puts meat on stoic bones
This is a wonderful audio book that gets to the muscle and sinew of Stoicism by examining the life of one of its sages. While I have struggled with other good books on Stoicism, I have learned so much in reading “How to Think Like A Roman Emperor”. And, it is really hard to put down. In a word, it is fabulous.

Life changing
I like self-help books, and the little I knew about Stoicism intrigued me. This book is an easy listen and makes Stoicism seem practical for modern times. I found many policies here that I am applying to my own life with great success. If you like learning about philosophies and using them for your emotional health, this is a good one. I'm very glad I bought this.

A Stoicism Must listen
If you are interested in Stoicism, this is a well written and interesting audio book on the subject. It covers the history behind the making of as a man and practical implementations on how to live the philosophy.
