Love it!

If you love supernatural you will love this. Similar to Cinder in that it takes some ideas from the original fairy tales but is nothing like them.

Cool little take on an old childhood story

I love when stories turn a relatively meh girl from childhood stories into strong, brace and capable heroines. This three book series did just that with our little red riding hood nursery rhyme.

I loved how the main character was bold and strong and independent, yet still soft and relatable her desire to find love. It was also nice that that desire for love was very secondary to her daily goals, saving people from the preternatural events or agents. That just reinforces her strong personality.

The narrator did a great job too.

I definitely recommend this series.

Just kind of adorable.

All 3 books kept me engaged. I liked all the characters, good and evil. Action scenes were written well enough. Best were insights into how her almost adolescent inner thoughts rivaled her tough warrior life.

Narrator

I’m not sure how I feel about the narrator. I enjoyed the story, the take on riding hood and all that, but I feel that the heroine is meant to be edgier, and I’m not hearing that in the narrator’s voice.

Werewolves, vikings and Krampus, oh my!

This is a bundle of the first three books in Melanie Karsak's Steampunk Red Riding Hood series. With each book being more novella than novel this is the optimum way to listen as it gives you much more listening time for the price.

I really love Karsak's Steampunk world full of magic and machinery.

Clemmeny is also a great protagonist. She's strong and kicks butt while still.being vulnerable and relatable.

The narrator Lesley Parkin reads wonderfully, giving the various characters unique voices.
