About this listen

Spacer, Smuggler, Pirate, Spy: Publisher's Pack contains Books 1 and 2 of the Spacer, Smuggler, Pirate, Spy series.

Spacer, Book 1:

Jon Bartlett's path is clear before him: finish his last year of schooling, then off on the family's ships to learn the intricacies of interstellar trade. But a message of tragedy at home comes for him, and his expected life is flung far out of reach and he's cast into a role he never wanted.

Smuggler, Book 2:

There are “nice” jobs that come my way, and there are profitable jobs that come my way. Now, these things do, on occasion, come along inside each other's orbits - but it's more of a cometary sort of thing, if you take my meaning.

Avrel Dansby is troubled.

It's amm... Quite a story! :D

The characters are such a mess it's almost like they are in a state of superposition. Hard to predict whether their decision will be brilliant, or utterly dumb at any given moment, but they sure make a lot of decisions real fast and they double down. The story is fast paced, and quite fun space adventure. :D
The narration is good.

Space Pirates Yaharrrrrrrr!

I'm not going to say the word, but that word will be repeated so much you'll think it should have been the title.

it's OK, a bit quirky, but just OK imho.

Teen Book

David Thorpe was fine. But this is a teen book and I abandoned it pretty quickly.

Very English

I picked this book because I love the narrator and looking other books read by him. Really enjoyable and funny book, great plot, very English humour, brilliantly performed.

Decent Chuckle

Good story and a great concept for world building. It will make you laugh, and thankfully, it doesn't take itself too seriously.
Good listen for having on while doing something and relatively easy to follow. I loved it

Space pirates, not much story in it.

Two books containing story material for the introduction of most books. not much really happens besides the protagonists affinity for messing up. Characters very two dimensional. Performance decent, though sometimes hard to understand due to the pirate drawl.
