Fantastic - he's a comedy anthropologist!

This is the first stand up show I ever saw Russell do, way back when it first came out in 2011 (I think!). I've been a massive fan of him ever since and even met him in Chester after his surprise appearance at a comedy night. Anyway, the reason I love this particular show is coz it's almost like a sociological/anthropological study on white working class men. I love his approach to dealing with a dad drowning in toxic masculinity. I come from a working class background myself, just over the estuary from where Russell grew up, so this stand up show resonates with me deeply. I come from an overly right wing family but I grew up to be one of those dreaded lefties. This show is full of thoughtful outlooks. Definitely a great place to start if you want to hear Russell's stuff :)

Usual Hysterical Performance

Brilliantly funny & cleverly delivered. The man is a genius & definitely up there with the likes of Peter Kay, Lee Mack, Micky Flanagan & Billy Connelly
What a talent!

A brilliant energetic stand up show.

Russell Kane has written and performed this show masterfully. It is intensely funny, mixing observation, slapstick humour and wordplay with an engaging personal story. The show slides seamlessly from its more serious parts back into the funny side of things without being a downer despite its serious message.

Gave it 4 stars for the audio because the show, which I've also seen live, does have some excellent visual elements that the audio can't capture.
