Summary
A sexy professor. A logical lawyer. A determined ghost. And a very mortal killer.
Welcome to Wicks Hollow: a cozy town near Lake Michigan filled with quaint houses, eccentric residents, and more than its share of ghosts, murders, and sexy romance.
"When I want to scratch my paranormal itch, there's nothing better than a book by Colleen Gleason!" (number one The New York Times best-selling author Robyn Carr)
Diana Iverson needs a break from her stressful job, her philandering boyfriend, and the rest of her fast-paced life. When she inherits her eccentric Aunt Jean's Wicks Hollow home, Diana takes a much-needed vacation in the cozy little town. But when the lake house becomes the scene of multiple break-ins, Diana begins to suspect Aunt Jean’s death was not as innocent as it seems.
And then there’s Ethan Murphy, the sexy college professor who lives next door. He appears to know a lot more about Aunt Jean than he should, and Diana doesn’t trust him. But most of all, there's Aunt Jean herself, who seems determined to communicate with Diana from beyond the grave.
A ghost story romance set in a small town, featuring a cozy mystery about a ghost that just won’t rest until justice is served. The perfect blend of romance, suspense, and ghosts.
“Like Nancy Drew for grown-ups!” (The New York Times best-selling author Mara Jacobs)
Each book in the Wicks Hollow series is a romantic suspense novel with all the quirks of a small-town setting - the perfect blend of humorous contemporary romance with cozy mystery and supernatural suspense.

actually read by the author herself
I would definitely recommend this to anyone that loves a good ghost story, with unexpected twists and turns.
I love this series of books, I have the whole series in paper back edition.
I'm so pleased these have been brought out in audio, not only is this a amazing ghost story with a nice hit of sexy romance, but the fact that the author herself reads this book to you.
Having the author read her word to you, gives the story much more context, as you get a much better feel for the character attitudes and personality when you can hear the words spoken exactly as they were written.
Not only does having the author reading the book to you, give the story more context, but Colleen has a really nice voice, she speaks very clearly and has passion in her voice when she is reading, which helps bring the story to life.
I can't wait to hear the rest of the collection.

Very monotone delivery
The story is okay. I haven’t finished it yet because of the narration. The narration is very monotone to the point that I can’t really get a sense of the characters enough to care about what’s happening to them, except in certain areas where something startling is supposed to be happening but it just comes off as annoyingly loud.
There’s no differentiation in voices between characters so it’s hard to tell who’s talking during conversations. There’s also a lot of swallowing noises and weird audible mouth noises. I’m not sure how to explain it, but it’s really distracting to the point that I just can’t get into the story. I might just try reading it.

Love it
The narration was great, some of the books that I've listened to that were narrated by the writer has been dull and I'd lose interest. I never lost interest, so well done Colleen!!!
