Summary

How to talk and listen to your children: a practical workbook for busy parents

Handling a newborn is tough. But as any parent knows, what comes after the age of three makes everything before look like a walk in a park.

It seems like your child learned how to talk overnight, and suddenly, you discover a whole new aspect of your parent-child relationship: communication.

Many don’t even realize how crucial that moment is. Not only does your child now understand what you’re saying to them, but they also use words to express themselves.

It sounds simple enough, but communicating with children is actually more complex than you may realize.

It’s not about disciplining your children - it’s about talking and listening in the right way.

In How to Talk so Little Kids Will Listen and Have More in Common than You Think, you will discover:

  • A detailed guide on what’s going on inside your children’s heads - find out what they’re feeling but not telling you.
  • Proven techniques for getting your children to listen to you so that you never feel ignored or defeated again
  • Simple methods child experts use to improve communication with children and get them to express themselves in a calm, controlled way
  • Tips on how to handle your own emotions when dealing with children - say good-bye to anger and frustration forever.
  • Fun, interactive activities for you and your children that will strengthen your bond and deepen your communication level
  • Bulletproof strategies for helping your children develop excellent communication skills, paving the way for successful futures
  • And much more...

When raising children, parents have to act intuitively in many aspects. Communication shouldn’t be one of them - it is something far too important to handle “on the go”.

If you want to help your child express themselves in a productive manner and quit the tantrums, then you will want to listen to this audiobook.

Best Parenting guide for sure!

This audiobook changes my parenting in a different way for sure. I have a 6-year-old son and obviously, it is not easy but I realized that it is my own mistake as I was not guiding him in the proper way. But I learned from my mistakes and this content showed me amazing methods and give so good advice on how to develop as a parent and be a better father to my son. Definitely recommended !

highly recommend for struggling parents

This book taught me a lot about the adjustments I can make to my parenting style. I think the beginning of the book, the first chapter made a brilliant point, that just because they are our children doesn't mean they think like we do. This book teaches great strategies you can use to better communicate with your child that actually encourages your child to listen. I'm learning and implementing everyday and the results have been very effective so far, which I think mainly because this book taught me to understand what makes my little one tick, if you understand the triggers you can solve the problem. Highly recommended for all parents out there dealing with these struggles.

This book helps you as a parent to learn so much you never knew. As parents we don't get a manual o what to do and what not to do, this book is a great guide for every parent and intending parents.

Really helpful

As a mum of 5 and 8 I was looking for a book to improve my communication with kids as we shout at each other to much. This book was a great help. it explains how child's brain works, best way to talk to children so they actually listen and most important for me how to listen to them. Good narration makes it pleasant to listen as well.

Where has this been all my life haha

The chapter on how to improve your communication skills was probably the most helpful to me! Communicating with adults comes easy to me but in terms of kids, I was honestly at a loss. As a new mom, I can now implement this when the time is right! It actually helps me with my nieces too, since I started practicing with them. I already see a difference in the way they respond to me :) It used to be a lot harder when they were so defiant. They're at the age of 3 now, so this book came in super handy with the age range!

finally found what I was looking for!

I have a 4 year old boy who can challenge my patience to say the least. I've been feeling that he has brought out the worst in me at times, and wasn't able to fully enjoy the joys of parenting and the precious moments, until this book has finally given me the tools I need to communicate effectively with him. one of the mein eye openers was how differently children function then adults. I guess it's been s while since I was a child! anyway it's a great book!

Great book to actually get your kids listening!

I loved this book because it doesn't only explain the psychology behind what happens in children's heads but gives super useful techniques that actually work! It also helped me work on my own frustration when talking to children and deal with my emotions correctly. The activities mentioned are super fun and really have facilitated my communication between me and the children! Definitely recommend!

Repeat,repeat and repeat millions time

This is the reality. You have to repeat and repeat over and over again. Sometimes a young child is hard to control and raise. Understand your child's mind as a new parent and not be angry with your child. You want a better relationship with your child. This book is useful for new parents. I really enjoyed the female voice and the information inside. I recommand it.

Proper Adulting

Although there is no manual assigned with the newest additions to the family. Brushing up on effective methods of rearing them like these, can alleviate that need and cultivate a great bound 👏

Best parenting book out there!

Too many parents to do are good encourages, good tellers but very few parents are truly good listeners. We tell our kids to listen to us all the time, but we don't turn listening to them. This book was a major reality check for me and a book I will be applying the information I learned in my own life. I desire to have a healthy and AMAZING relationship with my kids and I think that will be easy to do implementing the practical steps I learned from this book.

Communication skills for both parents and kids

Often times parents think their children should listen to them. Seldom do they realize they too may need to improve the way they communicate with their children. This book provides a practical approach for parents who are dealing with difficult children. The book touches on children's development and how this manifests in the way children communicate and their limited ability to effectively express their emotions. What I find most useful is the information on how parents can strengthen their bond with children as a good trusting relationship is a foundation for positive discipline.

So Insightful

I loved the insights in this book and it was a great reminder to look at situations from my child's point of view and level of understanding. I will definitely be implementing some of the ideas such as discussing body language and also having fun with the games all while learning communication tools. A fabulous book for all parents of young children!

Incredible!

I am so happy with this product. Parenting is hard, but this book makes life easy! There isn't really a guide for how to parent, but this sure did help. 10/10 would recommend for anyone who has kids in the younger range! I learned so much!

A fantastic listen for parents

I was reminded of the need of good communication skills between children and parents. There are plenty excellent instances. I was able to quickly implement the ideas with both my four and two-year-old children. I noticed tiny improvements toward calmer, less stressful resolutions. It's easy to forget how children and adults see and absorb events in their lives. I'm hoping that this is just the start of happier, smarter, more confident, and courteous kids.

Can't Wait to Apply These Practices

My children are approaching age 3 and I am always trying to stay ahead of the curve! I stumbled upon this audiobook and have zero regrets! I can't wait to implement all the practical parenting steps this book goes over once my children get a bit older. This audiobook has reminded me that how we speak to our children is one of the most important aspects of getting them to behave the right way. I recommend this audiobook to anyone who has children who are anticipating resistance in communication with their children.

I Needed This!

I have a two year old who will be turning three soon, and I have had the hardest time getting him to listen. I also have found myself getting very frustrated and angry, so I knew something needed to change. This book helped me so much in how to discover ways to control my frustration, while at the same time implementing techniques to better communicate with my child. I just began, but am already seeing small changes. Definitely listen to this book!
