Summary
After losing her husband in a tragic accident, Julia Gentry is barely surviving. Raising her young daughter alone takes everything she has—and that’s not enough. She’s barely making ends meet.

WOW emotional read
The story of the book is just so well written, Adriana you ripped my heart out but also put it back together.
Julie is a single mom struggling to look after her little girl Ever after her husband died in an accident. Crew is guilt ridden brother trying to look after both Julie and Ever after the death of his brother. Both these voice actors do an amazing job in telling the story.

Emotional and Heartfelt
Sacrifice is an emotional tale that gave me so much feels and I could not put down. Yes it was sad and heart-wrenching at times but it as also beautifully written, hopeful and was a story of love, loss, strength, sacrifice, hope and family. Its about how far one will go to atone for their sins and save their family. This story was not what I was expecting and there were some unexpected twists that all kept me at the edge of my seat. I fell in love with Crew right from the start and I absolutely adored the way he took care of Julia and Everleigh. Julia's strength shone through in more ways than one and I loved Everleigh's character.
There was a great cast of secondary characters who provided much support to the MC's and I loved that we got to know Gage through flashbacks from Julia and Crew's POV. This was a fantastic read and I would highly recommend it.
I listened to the Audible version of this novel which was narrated by Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell. They were both fantastic choices for these characters. They gave each character their on voice and emotion and really brought this heartfelt story to life. I loved listening to them narrate this novel.

If your looking for a book that will give you heartache you got to read this one. It so emotional and sweet and their chemistry with a second chance!
It one of my favourite of adriana Locke and listening to for my second read was a brilliant idea. Brought it more to life I loved it!

Emotional
This book took me through a lot it deals with a subject matter that I am currently dealing with so my emotions were all over the place. The second chance for Julia and Crew wow what they went through and Crew’s ultimate sacrifice . Loved the charcters and Everly what an angel of a character. Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell were great.

What a ride!
I had this book in my wish list but then I was lucky enough to be given a copy to read and wow it did not disappoint!
I got completely lost on the story and characters and devoured the book, all the way to the THE END in which I think I audibly gasped!!
The narrators did an amazing job of bring the story to life and I would certainly recommend

Simply Amazing
This book really put me through the wringer. So much heartache but absolutely worth it. Julia and Crewe are great, strong characters and Everly too. How much can one woman endure? Outstanding story and the voices totally fit the characters.

Extremely emotional sport romance
This is Crew and Julia's story, a very emotional sports romance, where you will get more than you think. The characters are amazing, and the story is very emotional. Crew was not in a good place when he was with Julia, things happened and years later he find himself in a place he can help Julia. Julia is faced with a very difficult and emotional situation. They both have to overcome their past in order to find their future and fight for what really matters. The audiobook was narrated by Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell, they both did a terrific job portraying their characters, their emotions were palpable and their pacing made the audio entertaining and hooking the listener from the start. I strongly suggest you consider and experience the audio version f the story, it definitely adds more to it.

amazing duet audiobook
What a fantastic duet performance by Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell - 6 star performance.
What an emotional second-chance, slow burn romance. But it was so much more than romance. An intense ride. A down on her luck single mother. Cute 5 year old daughter. It wasn't a tearjerker for me, but many will claim it to be.

The best things in life don’t come easy
I’m not a praying soul but this book had me sending a prayer out in the universe. It’s intense and provoked all the feels. I could hardly stand listening to the ending because it was so hard even though I knew it probably would be a happy one.
It’s a great second chance romance with a gripping story and it’s superbly performed by the narrators. It’s no sacrifice recommending it.

A beautiful journey of forgiveness & 2nd Chances
This book was probably one of the hardest books to get through and I mean that in a good way. The writing was strong, the story line gripped me from the start and the narration brought the story to life in a whole other way. I loved how the author made the intimate scenes more about the love between the two characters than the spice. I love second chances and Crew's growth throughout the book and Julia as well. She had to be strong for the one person in her life who needed it most and the author wrote it beautifully.
The emotion Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell made me feel was enough to bring me to tears. These two really take a book and bring it to life in the best way, always.
If you love a deep story line about second chances that will make you feel, this book is perfect for you. Please also consider checking out the triggers as well prior to reading.

Emotional roller coaster
This book really took me on an emotional roller coaster. Joe Arden & Maxine Mitchell we’re epic in this. Their work here was a work of art. How they brought Adriana Locke’s words come to life is nothing but extraordinary. Adriana words about tragedy and how we find support & love and what you are willing to do for the people you love was incredible. This book will stay with me for a long time. Thank you Ariana Joe & Maxine for this journey you took me on.

Heart-rending
I absolutely love the books I've read/listened to by Adriana Locke. She is so talented. Her stories always move me. This book was a difficult listen. Loosing a husband is tragic. My heart squeezed. Then...any kind of cancer is heartbreaking, but childhood cancer? I cannot even imagine. I cried. I sobbed. I held my breath. But there were times I smiled and laughed. The ending about did me in. What an excellent read.
Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell are excellent narrators. They brought this book to life with emotional performances. Perfection.
This book will stay with me for a while.

All the feels
THANK YOU FOR THIS !! This author is such a good story teller. She almost had me 😭😭.
I was beginning to think I was way too picky for audible because there are soo many poorly executed/poorly narrated stories on here In every genre. It’s like the most of the stories have a good plot but too short so they add sex scenes that are just too repetitive, and the FMCs only premise in the stories are “I love him. I hate him. I can’t be with him but I just can’t stay away” and the whole entire story is just these thoughts and very little action. It’s hard to sift through all the garbage. BUT THIS… This was amazing. All the feels!
Not to mention Joe and Maxine are amazing at what the do!

Superb!
Joe and Maxine did a fantastic job! I thought that the original version of this book was good but this time both narrators showed me that this story is more beautiful not only because is very well written but because J&M are very good storytellers! Great book and great narration!!! Don’t forget about tissues because you really need them !

Great listen!
Two excellent narrators brought this great book to life! They both really had me on the edge of my seat a few times - I actually shouted “Scream for help!” In the rough hospital scene! (My cat thought I’d lost my mind😄) and the final fight scene was extremely suspenseful ! Thank goodness for the epilogues!
Well worth the credit and I’m sure I will listen to it again a bit later.
One thing I really like about this author is that she tells such a good story without a graphic sex scene every other chapter. Of course when it’s time for it, she does it well!

This updated audio will blow you away! It's so fanastically good!!!! Joe and Maxine are wonderful, and I hung onto every word of Crew and Julia. This is one of my absolute favorites too, so I was happy it was updated!

All the feels in this book!
Julia is a single mother. The only other facility around she has besides her daughter is her brother-in-law, Crew. Crew also happens to be Julia's ex from high school and college, and the one she blames for her husband's death. When Crew's niece is diagnosed with cancer, he does everything he can to get Julia to accept his help, but it ultimately comes to Julia finding an old letter from her husband to accept the help Crew has to offer. Crew ends up taking a "side job" to help pay for his niece's treatment, but this job could cost him everything.
Oh, Crew. Although I wanted to strangle him at times, I can't help but love him. He didn't always do the right things, especially growing up, but now he isn't letting anything come in the way of him loving his girls. Julia is so strong. Everything she has been through with her husband and now her daughter would have me absolutely broken.
Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden are phenomenal at bringing Crew and Julia to life. All the feels and emotions are in this book. Get the tissues for this one!
